  • The Artisan Cutlery Small Archaeo lineup was designed by Dylan Mallery. This model is a Knifecenter Exclusive Archaeo version with a VG-10 based Raindrop Damascus blade steel and Pakkawood handle scales. This limited edition knife is a highly exceptional release, as this was the very first Artisan Archaeo that came with a so-called "detent lock" mechanism. This collection of features makes my Small Archaeo an amazing gentlemen's carry and a perfect EDC choice for elegant occasions.

I have the Carbon Fiber / S35VN variant of this. It has a blue pivot collar and purple pocket clip and backspacer. Yours is a great looking knife but I’m not at all disappointed with the appearance of mine. I don’t know where my mind was when I ordered mine because I was surprised by both the size and the lack of a locking mechanism when it arrived. I’m glad I didn’t pay closer attention though because I wouldn’t have bought it and it is a nice little knife. It fits my hand well even though it is smaller. I just use this knife around the house but there is no reason why one couldn’t carry it.

Oh yes! I love carbon fiber and I had a hard time picking one because they look amazing. How do you like S35VN?

@@SalvoEDC… as many knives as I have I should be able to answer that but I can’t. I went from my first quality knife to way too many in a short period of time so most have not seen any use yet. I have not used any in S35VN long enough to know and to make matters worse, I still need to learn how to strop and sharpen. That will be this winters project.

@@jimshort9266 oh nice! Congrats to your collection! I love trying new steels so this sounds pretty cool to me. My favorite S35VN knife is my Hoback Kwaiback Fixed Blade in case you didn’t have enough. 😉
