I hope these tips are helpful to squeese just a little more life out of a dying pair of shoes! Have you tried anything else to save dead shoes? Shellac, paint, glue? Let me know!
Thank you! We are spending a ton on Pointe shoes for my 16yr old.
I did try to glue the wings with the Bloch glue but it created such a hard buildup, I had to hone it down with a tool file because it would really scratch and hurt my feet. Maybe I used too much but I'm scared now to ever try that again.
It does sound like too much! You just want enough to wet the material. It's very little needed. Hold the bottle nearly parallel with the ground and just let a little come out of the nozzle. Drag the bottle side to side over the area you're glueing, just letting a little tiny bit out! You can also try gluing on the outside (though less visually appealing). You might practice on a dead pair of shoes that you don't care if you mess them up!
This is what happened my first time gluing shoes, I used bloch brand and after I glued my shoes, I let them dry for a day. Literally every time I wore them after that it burned my feet, even through my tights!! So now I’m just scared to glue my shoes at all even with jet brand😂 but I don’t have another option so here we go!!
@@mariskalewandowski3529 I heard some pros glue from the outside….
Wow! I don't think I can make it to this year's festival, but 2023........
Hope to see you there next summer!
