  • The PCT journey continues! As we make our way to Snoqualmie Pass, we try something a little different with the video. No music! Join us on this quieter than usual two days, and let us know what you think in the comments. We also stumble upon a nice patch of huckleberries. Eventually, we meet up with our friends at Snoqualmie Pass, and give out some cheers!
We no longer need town beers on the trail! A huge thank you to everyone for following along with our journey on the PCT. However, if you would like to support future videos and future hikes, feel free to contribute whatever you would like to the Venmo or PayPal below. Cheers!

Your good music is one of the good things that sets you two's videos apart from the rest of the couples vloggers.

It makes me mad that people have to criticize your work that you both put out into the universe. It’s rude. I say music and especially if you want it in there. I really do enjoy your videos.

I vote for a mixture of natural and music

I think what you have been doing is great! Maybe a mix of music and nature sounds would be nice.

Music please! I've commented before that I think your choice of music to accompany your videos is perfect. I was even going to ask you for your playlist so I can use it in my own hiking videos.
One tiny comment is that sometimes (not always) you forget to turn down the music volume when you're talking, making it difficult to understand what you're saying.

My husband and I watch your videos. We plan to do the hike as a couple in 2027 if everything lines up. We prefer no music. The sound of the trail is what we like to hear. Just a thought. Happy Trails :)

I do enjoy your music selections but living in Washington I also enjoy the sounds of nature while hiking.

Respect to you all for considering feedback from your community! I personally prefer music with your style of edit (shorter clips but more of them), but I do enjoy hearing things like waterfalls, birds, or wind through the trees. I feel like no music works better for long clips where you really do get to take in the sounds that are happening....maybe that's just me though. Thanks for bringing us along on your hike, a PCT thru hike is on my bucket list for someday so I love following along with a few hikers every year

I have absolutely loved your musical choices, but I don't see why you can't have some quiet/natural moments throughout, especially water.

I truly adore the sounds of hikers walking on the trail, the crunch of the gravel beneath your feet, just so, so much. Nature is therapy for me, but I think a mix of some music and some natural sounds would be my preference. I also love seeing the nitty gritty details of camplife and what you eat and how you prepare it, if you're asking for opinions for future videos. Whatever you'd like to share! A huge congrats on your incredible journey!! You've both been so inspiring!

One thing about the trail in the PNW are the berries. Blackberries, blue berries, red as well as blue huckleberries and the red thimble berries. You def can graze along the trail in summer. Glad you got to enjoy it. The forest behind our house in WA was loaded with berries to enjoy all day

I think the music adds to the video. And sprinkling it in helps keep the flow of the video and is more engaging. In my humble opinion.

Safer to be 'vewy noisy' in case Smokey comes along. jejeje "Rehydrating for the rest of the night." LMAO I thought it fine (sans sounds). I haven't yet used tunes in the mountains. Think John Muir would be pissed if he caught me.

You use the most tolerable music of any hiking videos I watch, but no music is ideal

I don’t know why people whine about the background music. I don’t mind if the music matches the mood and isn’t louder than your voices. When it’s loud it’s jarring, but I don’t think you have done that.

YOU should do what YOU want. This is YOUR channel. I imagine that when the trip is over you might revisit these posts (even though you probably have lots more unedited video) and I hope you are able to enjoy them. It's not like your musical choices have been abrasive or lacking in taste. I, for one, am enjoying accompanying you virtually on the trek. If I didn't, I could just decide not to watch. I don't know why some people think they have a right to have everything their own way.

Not a big fan of hiking videos that are completely silent or of ones that are completely set to music. I thought your combination of music silence and narration was good, but if you have to go one way or the other more silence is cool.
Listened a video while driving from syntax 77 who is an OG obviously, and has well over 100 K followers, the other day, and he talked for over two hours straight. 🤮

It looks like the silent majority has spoken, but I will pile on anyway. I think removing the music is a really bad idea. A lot of these clips have no sound at all. So I have no idea what people think they are missing. I think it's probably best to mix it up. If there are good natural sounds on the video, it would be fine to just leave it that way. But if there is just silence, then adding a music track would probably be a good idea. I might make one suggestion for future videos. I would love to hear the two of you interact more while you are hiking. Instead of just at the beginning and end of the day. That could give more options for viewers to hear natural sounds in the background. 😎👍

I enjoy it either way as long as the music is not so loud that it makes it hard to understand when someone is talking.
