Warm up oil and run oil - they do (did) add less oil during the warmup and add the rest (usually w/ an additive I believe) when live tv was happening - teams in general rather, but I know his team did it that way at one point
NHRA needs to open up the Top Fuel rulebook. Even Don Garlits thinks it's to restrictive. It's essentially a spec class. There's no innovation anymore.

@topfuel1732 That's the point of experimentation. We don't know if teams can introduce technology that succeeds or fails. We don't even know if what they're running currently is the best since they can't run anything else anyway.
@topfuel1732 It is still a much better decision to open the rulebook than just forcing everyone to do the same thing. We want all teams to use the same thing because it's the best, not because they're forced to use it.
@topfuel1732 Top Fuel is the king of the sport. It needs to be all about speed and the technology to achieve it. Promod is form over function. I don't care if it has strict rules. The fact they pretend poorly to look like a road car and even use doors tell me that Promod is more about the superficial side of racing.
