Seriously! I'm sick and you'd think my family would be capable of doing basic household things! This weekend they have no choice. I haven't been out of bed since I got home from the hospital, they NEED to figure it out. We can only do so much! Our cups need to be filled too!!!
Years ago I purchased house plans that had a laundry room upstairs but in a bonus room area above the two car garage. It solved the issue of potential water leaks damaging lower floor area as leaks would reveal in garage. We never got around to building that house but later I designed and we built a single story home with laundry room across hall to master. The single story has a ramp to allow heavy items to easily be rolled up to wrap around covered deck. We are retirement age so this home is handicap accessible. So happy with our decision.

I have so much grief,depression, trauma stemming from loss and it affects my life daily even when I try so hard to take a step forward it’s as if it hits me and sends me spiraling 6 steps backwards and I’m left there in the darkest place. I like how it seems like your overall decorating style is a little bit minimalist. It just cuts down on the clutter a lot and the number of things you have to move around to dust and wipe things down…also vacuuming seems easier that way too. I am decluttering the whole house. It feels so good. Thank you for a new video and the inspiration. I’m sorry to hear about your family member. It’s a hard thing. My nephew, who served in Afghanistan for 7 years, lost his battle as well with his depression yet he seemed so happy and he loved life.

This is why I love your channel. You make me feel like I’m chatting with a friend. I’m just trying to figure out how to get it all done. I’m almost 60 still working as a nurse full time 12 hour shifts. I also in my days off watch our 4 year old granddaughter. I wouldn’t trade that time for the world but I just run out of time. I am struggling with depression and I hate it because when when you come into my flat you can see that I can't get it done alone. Its so hard. Thank you so much for your videos which I should remember much more often. They help so much motivate me for cleaning or washing my dishes or what ever. A big thank you from germany.
You’ve got this! Even if you just straighten up one area every day, you’re moving forward! It can be as small as one corner of a room or one surface, or as big as an entire room. Whatever you can handle that day. I’ve been there, too, and I promise that as long as you accomplish even one small thing, it will help you to stay motivated.
Sometimes it’s as easy as just deciding to do one thing - I’ll pick up all the clothes in here, get all the dirty dishes out of this room, pick up the trash, etc. - and once you accomplish that you can either be done and be proud of yourself, or maybe it’ll make it easier to keep going. Either way you accomplished something that was not done already and that’s something to be proud of!

I have been sick with a head cold this week and I worked 40+ hours. An over night in the hospital Friday night had me toast. I literally slept all day Saturday and slept through the night last night. My reminder for your Sunday video woke me up this morning and it's literally all I've looked forward to all week. I was too tired to watch this one on Thursday so I'm binging on you and OJ 🥂 hopefully it'll give me motivation to atleast get the laundry done. You have a very calming voice and it helps so much with my anxiety.Really great tips with your cleaning.I was cleaning my kitchen at ten o’clock last night, and that never happens!
I have been slowly working on the grout in our house. The whole downstairs and the bathrooms upstairs are all tile floor. We have lived in this house for two years but it’s military housing so I have no idea how long it has been since the grout has been cleaned. I tried out a bunch of hacks from Pinterest and UA-cam but the best product that I have found is the JAWS cream cleanser! It’s amazing on grout. We have 12x12 tiles so I squirt a little in the corners and take a scrub brush and scrub all of the lines and spread the cleanser around and then I wait a few minutes and wipe it all up with a rag. It’s amazing!! I will need to order more to finish but I love the product for so many different areas in the home that I don’t mind getting more!

Meal prep is something I keep wanting to do for myself, this recipe is easy just might have to make it. Also, I've been trying to find a protein bar/ball recipe. Would you mind sharing it. I dont need exact measurements. I eyeball my stuff too. Yes great community comes from a great host. So thank you for all you do and share. I had an uncle (well my husband's) and he lost his life to depression depression is not something to take light heartedly, it's very serious. I've put both my kids ih n therapy while they attend high school and it helps. ❤

My uncle is losing his battle w cancer unfortunately! Went to visit him last wk and going this morning! My aunt needs to run errands so I offered to hang w him so she can get a little break!

Aside from that - my husband is still in PT a few days a wk & we’re hoping he makes a full recovery! But he’s still using the Walker at home and the wheelchair when we’re out and about!

Jamie your home is beautiful! We custom built from Pennsylvania in Texas (started the process before the pandemic hit). It was crazy but we’re so happy in our new home. We’ve been here 3 years & I tell hubby I still can’t believe it’s ours so I know the feeling.
