Thanks for reacting to one of my favorites. I think this is the most 'Prog' song in their repertoire. Just a note: there is a point where Asami comes over and puts her arm around Miyako, and if you look closely, Miyako casually leans her head onto Asami's shoulder. There are similar scenes throughout their videos of Asami intereacting as a loving friend to all of her bandmates, and they always respond. Asami, from both her actions and her lyrics, seems to be chock-full of love and heartfelt emotions. IMHO, that is what makes her such a great vocalist - she sings every song from the bottom of her heart, and it shows. And, it always makes me smile in this video to see Haruna come down to toss her sticks, struggling to walk in elevated heels. She almost falls into the crowd a couple of times throwing the sticks, but if she wore her sneakers she would look like a midget compared to the others who are not only taller but also all wearing heels.

I have seen those interactions and it really does show the love they have for each other. They are just so amazing. It aggravates me that I have such a hard time getting people to actually listen to them. Then those same people turn around and tell me how great some lame a$$ band is. I always look at them like an eggplant popped out of their foreheads! Thank you for watching and your great comment.

LOVEBITES - Under The Red Sky lyrics:
    Rupture of the Heavens
Blinding rays piercing through on a killing spree
Looming in the distance, come the thundering roars of calamity
Eerie bitter silence, from the whirling black smoke and insanity
    Time has stopped and frozen
Held my breath with the death of humanity
    If somewhere God really exists
How would He take our shame and great disgrace?
    Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
At the edge of this grey world
    Holding you tight
Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in
Pounded by the black rain, while the world is engulfed in a bloody sea
Stolen in a moment; everything, everyone lost to history
    If somewhere God really exists
How would He take our shame and great disgrace?
    Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
But again I will find you
    And take your hand
Cause I know, together we are stronger than this nightmare
    Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
At the edge of this grey world
    Holding you tight
Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in
    Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
But again I will find you
    And take your hand
Cause I know, together we will find a way to overcome

I'd seen a lot of bands play epicAF songs during a gig but I'd never seen any band play epicAF songs for every song at a gig. Until I found Lovebites. They just go full throttle from start to finish, for single songs and whole gigs. That superb Rock/Metal finale followed by their smiles and laughs as they hang around to hand out plectrums and sticks and souvenirs should be a big lesson to a lot of lesser bands (ie, all bands apart from Band-Maid) - you don't have to drop the mic and run off stage, pouting or looking grim because of the hard task you've just completed (we got that already from your 'this is hard but god I'm good' guitar face). Your fans are going to leave feeling pumped up and happy as hell, rather than just pumped up.

I'm in agreement with other comments, this was a Midori show. The mix of sound, especially with power chords, is just perfect between them. I love the tone, level of distortion, etc. that just has this incredible tone. When Haruna tosses the sticks, you know the show is over, lol. Just another great song!

The 2021 version is even better.
I particularly admire MIDORI's 💚💚💚guitar work on this one (shredding during the entire chorus, sliding,...). Some (ignorant (I dislike ignorance)) people considers she can only shred at fast speed and nothing more. But she's also a technical player. She's very commited and deserves more praise for her work!
And her endless smile brights up the entire arena ! 😍

This is probably my favorite Lovebites song. It's got it all, from start to finish. Nice job on the reaction to this one. You let it play all the way to the end. I seen some reactors stop the video after the song was over, and they miss-out on the special moment at the end. You know better, because you are true wolfpack. We are all ready to meet the new bass player, whenever they announce it. Lovebites must go on. Like you said, they are too amazing to stop now. All the greatest bands throughout history have had line-up changes. The one's who make it big are the one's who keep going. All Lovebites needs is a world tour, and they will be the next Iron Maiden.

Heavenly gifted beautiful women who won my heart back in 2017, I know for a fact that I have seen and heard these songs more than a thousand time each and still have not gotten tired of listening to them. They have something very special and hope and pray they continue on despite Miho leaving, the hiatus has prolonged longer than I am sure they wanted but this stupid pandemic and constant lockdowns has not helped at all. I have heard and read spectulations of Miyako and Midori getting together and working on new material and the hope has just made it worth waiting.

From the EP Battle Against Damnation 2018, days after the EP's release, Lovebites won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for best new band. They performed in Germany at Wacken Open Air on august 4, and in England on the main stage of Bloodstock Open Air on august 10. In november, the band held their first European tour that saw them visiting the Netherlands, Germany, France and the UK.
Miyako composed "Above the Black Sea" and Mao composed "Under the Red Sky", together make up a love letter to Sergei Rachmaninoff. Unable to play his Piano Concerto No. 2 on piano, Miyako created a guitar concerto with these songs intead. They are linked by their titles and lyrical themes about war, wich also connect to the EP's title.
"Above the Black Sea" has a neoclassical metal feel and Midori played one of the guitar solos in a Yngwie Malmsteen-style at the suggestion of producer Steve Jacobs. Altough the lyrics have no clear story, Asami imagined a Japanese Special Attack Unit when writing.
When writing the lyrics to "Under the Red Sky", Asami approached it as a sequel to "The Apocalypse" from their debut EP and first album, wich is about the criminal atomic bombing of Hroshima.
