As an environmental consultant, I can attest that they do fight hard to keep certain requirements in place even when it doesn't make sense. I'm not a lobbyist, but I do often find myself doing assessments that seemed totally ridiculous, like requiring assessment at a private residence just because they also do assisted living for one two seniors and suddenly it's a commercial property, stuff like that. I don't make the rules and I do try to find exemptions when I can, but a lot of people would have to find other, more important work. And they CAN if they're not lazy and greedy.

As an environmental consultant, I can attest that they do fight hard to keep certain requirements in place even when it doesn't make sense. I'm not a lobbyist, but I do often find myself doing assessments that seemed totally ridiculous, like requiring assessment at a private residence just because they also do assisted living for one two seniors and suddenly it's a commercial property, stuff like that. I don't make the rules and I do try to find exemptions when I can, but a lot of people would have to find other, more important work. And they CAN if they're not lazy and greedy.
