Just ordered one ,I have never had a large sodbuster!! Also just sent back the kissing crane. It was plastic handle no liners at all. Less than 10 years ago, I ordered a kissing, crane sodbuster for about the same price and was a good quality knife, but ended up trading it as I used to do a lot of trading at work lol thanks for the video it helped my decision ! : )))))
lol straight to the point, schrade knives impressed me lately. Been testing a few of them out, but not tested the IMP22L yet. Never stop playing and exploring what ever it is hehe fun to flick around with knives totally agree. Good unboxing video mate.
12.88 on Amazon.Great deal.Well i ordered one and it showed up yesterday.it was good for about 6 hours and i noticed that it gained blade play side to side. Its separating in the pivot. The brass liners are splitting apart and the main pivot pin is shifting around side to side.Im not so sure this knife will hold up to much medium use.9 bucks oh well.
I so agree with you, Luigi: one reason I use my pocket knives in the kitchen is simply because they are much more fun! That's not to say the IMP22L should be limited to food use. It's a great garden knife - and, if you keep the blade sharp, it will tear up any cardboard, rope and plastic with ease. At around $10, one can t go wrong with this simple but rugged knife. I ain't no collector, so why would I want to spend more?
Got me a few of these. I love a good ol Sodbuster. Ever since I left Commiefornia, I can open cary any knife any length and conceal cary any knife, (EXCEPT) a Bowie.
I'd be interested in hearing what the history of that knife is because I believe that George Schrade went to Germany and purchased a German company and recently I purchased a German knife that looks just like that one I think it's a hen and rooster I don't know if there's some connection there even though that history goes back over a hundred years
I'm sure it's a fascinating history and I wish I knew more about it as well. My brother has a Hen & Rooster sodbuster; it's a very popular working man's knife that has crossed all sorts of international boundaries. I do know that Case trademarked the name 'sodbuster' in the early part of the 20th century. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.
I own one just like yours. My knife feels like is grinding sand when opening. Tried everything to make it smooth but still very hard to open and close. Way too much friction.
Although I no longer have this knife, I do remember that it was very stiff but don't recall any grittiness. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.
I have the smaller one in yellow , its great for peeling potato's, its a great EDC and UK, legal ,, I am going to get the black one next , it feels good in the hand , its a good food knife ,,
Nice knife man. I have a simular looking knife . No clue what brand it is. It's very old. Totally rusted out. I want to try to restore that knife. If so I definately will make a video about that. I hope you will take a look at my channel. Thanks!
I would never use a folding knife for food preparation if I had fixed blade knives available. All my kitchen knives are full tang which makes them stronger, and being fixed blade, easier to clean. A folding knife's only advantage is pocket carry.
Thanks for this interesting review. Yesterday I received my IMP22L. I'm satisfied with it. But on the wrapping is written "WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm - www.p65warnings.ca.gov". I wonder what this does mean. Can anyone explain this to me please?

Thanks for watching, mate. I was afraid this was a bit too long but it is what it is.
you way to self criticizing..

You know, I wish I had the smaller version. Thanks for our comment and thanks for watching.

Yeah, I can see that. Thanks for watching.
I just got myself the smaller version of this knife.Simple design but stiil has a bit style to it.
+Ewok Freakstorm Yeah, the Sodbuster is an old classic. Thanks for watching.
+Luigi Bartolomeo Thanks for the reply . Nice channel Luigi.

+mister smith Yeah, the sodbuster is a classic pattern. Thanks for watching.
Tip: go to 4 minute mark to start the review. I bought the Case Sodbuster Jr. and am happy with that.
That's fair. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching. I actually wish I had the jr; this one is too big for me now.
It's not a lock back...it's a slip joint.
Right you are and thanks for the correction! Thanks for watching.

You sold me man. I just ordered one.
I hope you'll enjoy it. Thanks for watching.

Rubbing alcohol will make the metal fragile my grandpa slipjoint broke in half after cleaning the knife but that's just my 2cent
Ain't never heard of the alcohol thing but I'm not doubting you. Thanks for watching.
u dont use jackknife for regular food preperation, if got something easier to clean to your hands.
Yeah, food particles getting into the works is always an issue with folding knives. Thanks for watching.
I have the smaller one in yellow , its great for peeling potato's, its a great EDC and UK, legal ,, I am going to get the black one next , it feels good in the hand , its a good food knife ,,
Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment. You'll really enjoy the larger one!
Its a bit big for EDC ,and its a bit long for UK EDC it has to be a 3 inch blade or shorter , to comply,,
Good call on not telling the back story. I have the patience of a 5 year old.
Ha! Me too. Thanks for watching.
Can anyone tell me what the blade thickness is on this IMP22L?
I'm unable to find any thickness info but thanks for watching.
2.2 mm

Thanks for watching. I have returned your subscription and I'll check out your stuff.
Cool brother!! Also looked at your strop video. Probably going to order one. I was looking for one. Thanks for that. :-)

That’s not true even tho case made the sod buster almost 100 years ago the did not drop a us pation on it till may of 1967
Thanks for this interesting review. Yesterday I received my IMP22L. I'm satisfied with it. But on the wrapping is written "WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm - www.p65warnings.ca.gov". I wonder what this does mean. Can anyone explain this to me please?
It's just for Californians, they put these warnings on almost everything. Imo nothing to worry about
Cool knife, too bad the steel is shit
Putting butcher's knives next to it is nonsense.Lol
Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.
