    The foods were the most interesting for me. I sometimes take vitamin supplements on days when I don't have access to vegetables so the barley powder would be along those lines. The kani-pan looks delicious too, and I'm a sucker for sweet bread. These monthly recommendations are handy, keep it up!

    Where do you buy the Atsugi open tights? Are the open toe ones available during the winter? I can only find the regular atsugi ones. And it’s true, I used to use the Sabrina brand and I always get stomach aches.

      I bought those open tights this past spring at Shibuya Mega Donquijote. They probably carry it all year, although it might be in harder to find sections in winter, so you probably have to bring a picture and show the store clerk

    Hi Tokiyuyu, great recommendations. It was odd seeing you talk about planners, only because I don’t see other bloggers talk about planners at all. Have you tried the jibun techo or hobonichi or travellers notebook? Thanks

      Matcha Latte for sure

    • @kekkeigenkai5271
      @kekkeigenkai5271 6 років тому +1

      @@gocapturecreate3320 Actually I try to explain to one of my japanese friends that: japanese people must be either robots (she answered me 'no'... she is a japanese girl, she would know about this fact if it was so), or cyborgs, or elves from Lords of the ring. So maybe the reason why TokiYuYu is so much human is, that she is not a human being but some super-natural being alike all japanese people. I mean I never believed in conspiracy theories until I learned Japan. I understood then that there are supernatural things happening in this world. Japan is full of this, and I believe that TokiYuYu is a similar case :-O :-P :-D

    • @gocapturecreate3320
      @gocapturecreate3320 6 років тому +1

      Matcha Latte perhaps they believe in cytogenetic technology and have discovered a way to freeze and unfreeze “dead bodies”. Or they think that is stupid and have focused on developing technology where a human soul can be transported into a robotic human looking shell. Let me know how you go in your research on synthetic life forms and technology in Japan

    • @TokiYuYu
      @TokiYuYu  6 років тому

      It would be cool to have robotic parts like Ghost in the shell! But before they come up with that technology I'll have to deal with this boring human body lol
      Anyway, I would love to try hobonichi since I've seen so much about it recently now that everyone's transitioning into a new planner for 2019, but this one I showed is good till June 2019 so no changing planner for a while. I had travellers notebook before but I just never got any use out of it

    Hi! I stumbled upon your channel by chance and I've been so happy with it! I'm planning a trip to Tokyo next month and I'm both excited and nervous :) I wanted to ask you about the tights! What about us taller European girls who are...not as small, let's call it, than Japanese girls? Are the sizes of Atsugi tights available for us too? I love wearing tights, especially warm types during winter, so I'd like to get some there! And does Atsugi have leggings? Thank you!!

    • @TokiYuYu
      @TokiYuYu  6 років тому

      They do have L/LL size which should fit girls up to 170cm. If you are taller than that, it would be hard to find, although it is stretchy it would probably still not fit as nicely. They do have leggings too! I also recommend Slimwalk and Dr Scholl Qtto leggings with some slimming/compression effect! Great for long flights especially!

      Planner is from Loft and I've moved on from cute planners to these minimalistic looking ones lol the kanipan is very specific to people's taste I think, it can be so dry and bland to some people but I love the chewy drier not-to-sweet texture (although I can honestly munch on any bread nonstop lol)

    Do u recommend your hair mask over the Shiseido Sino premium touch (red/silver jar) mask? BTW-i heard Japan launch collagen drinks. Have u tried? What do u think of it. Thanks for sharing your favorites.

    • @TokiYuYu
      @TokiYuYu  6 років тому +1

      The shiseido one you mentioned was my favorite until I found this one, just because this one is SO much quicker and easier to use, no waiting at all which is a HUGE plus for me. Japan is huge on collagen drinks, but I read that you actually don't get much benefits from it, so I've been hesistant to try. My mom has tried the popular powder one from Shiseido, but she says it may just be placebo effect lol. If I find a good one I'll share!

    Thank you for the recommendation on the tights. My daughter wears them all the time under her skirts and has a problem finding quality ones to buy! I also have a question for you. Why do they trim the crusts from bread all the time in Japan?? PEACE:) Happy Holidays to you and your family! P.S. I also love Paranoia Agent. It's one of my favorite anime's also:)

    • @TokiYuYu
      @TokiYuYu  6 років тому

      For the bread crust, I think it's because Japanese people really like the soft chewy texture, and crust can become hard, therefore making the texture of the sandwich (or whatever they are making) not as uniformed/nice. Happy holidays to you too! And high 5 for loving Paranoia Agent!!!

    Everytime I am watching your videos, I really feel I want to be in Japan noooooow :-D My country is boring like a black-and-white TV (sorry my country) compared to Japan :-D It's getting much better nowadays but still...Please show something kawaii in every video!!!!! :-D I am male, but I still think that japanese things are often super cute... I was laughing when you started showing the kanipan (I was thinking: typical TokiYuYu, she probably doesn't like it primarily for the taste), and when you started to be making the sandwich of it, I had to laugh even more, kawaikatta :-D Life is funny :-)... By the way I think it's little bit difficult with fruits and vegetables in Japan, when I was there I was thinking many times that in my country I eat fruits and vegetables more. In Japan fruits and vegetables are expensive, or lot of meals contain mainly meat/fish. That's also maybe why I was going to the Korean town to eat so often. I tried to drink Matcha Latte

    • @TokiYuYu

      Lol yeah I definitely get sucked in by cuteness and my wallet suffers because of it! Argh the prices of fruits/veggies are so high in Japan, I wanna binge-eating watermelon when I visit Canada or US haha! Hmm for language I just think in whichever language I talk in and the people I'm talking to, and my ability to speak in a language can drastically change depending if I'm in the right environment lol
