Probably my most-cooked tofu recipe! It’s spicy 🥵 it’s a little sweet 🦄 and it’s savory. 🤤 Oh and very garlicky. 🧄

Your recipe on website doesn't mention garlic and onion powder for the tofu, I just made it without those two ingredients.

Would a tiny pinch of baking soda in the sauce help? It helps me with the acidity of coffee!

@@kaiju_k5042 yeah just a tiny pinch. It raises the ph to make it less acidic. Coffee used to hit my stomach like a brick and now it is so much more enjoyable!

@@kaiju_k5042 you're welcome! It helps with things like blueberry tea too! I looked it up when my plant milks kept curdling in the tea no matter what type of milk I used. Then I found out about coffee too and it has been amazingly helpful. Glad to pass it along!

I've been addicted to that sauce since I saw one of your videos that showed it off about a month ago! I don't think a week has gone by that I haven't had it. hah Makes for a tasty fried rice sauce.

If you don't mind the bite of raw garlic, the sauce shouldn't need to be cooked at all.

how do you press the tofu without a presser?
@Wis Wrap it in a clean tea towel and place a cutting board and something heavy on top (heavy pot, stack of books) and leave 20-30 min. I find freezing my tofu, then thawing and pressing improves its texture too.
Made this today and I always thought I can eat a good amount of heat but this was way too much even for me, i guess half the amount of Gochujang would be better for me
I made this and tbh it mostly just tastes like ketchup

why do u have to make them look like meat? I ate them all the time even if Im not vegan or vegetarian, and just chopped them into cubes. those are already tasty and cute tho. and.....the high water content inside a tofu is good
You don’t have to break them into irregular pieces, this is just what she prefers. It’s all personal preference! 😊
Cutting into cubes resembles meat much more than tearing it into chunks
So much easier to pan fry a steak with salt and pepper, eat out of the pan

Good thing we choose foods because of how they taste instead of only how easy they are to make
