Wish there was a show that featured jazz like this nowadays. RIP David.

Jay Leno once walked out from backstage on 1 episode of The Late Show With David Letterman before The Tonight Show aired, Giant Steps played.

I had the pleasure of meeting The Official Sonny Rollins Page and his wife Lucille back in the 80s. Now at 93 years old, Mr. Rollins remains a titan in the world of jazz. Here he is showcasing his mastery alongside David Sanborn on one of my favorite TV shows, Night Music, which was hosted by Sanborn. Sonny Rollins, an American tenor saxophonist, is celebrated as one of the most influential figures in jazz music. RIP David Sanborn!

Though Coltrane was my favorite, Rollins was a s close second. Simply superb and I agree- Night Music was the very best TV music show.

I never got into sonny Rollins. Never l8med his styles, his Tone or anything else. I tried but he was not for me.
