  • In the Back 2 Pakistan (B2P) Facebook group, people were asked about their major concerns about moving to Pakistan, the top reply was security. So, we thought of making this video and look into the crime rate in Pakistan compared to a number of other countries.
Dr Mazhar Hussain is a Danish doctor living in Pakistan since 2002. Pakistan may have a bad name, while his personal experience is that Pakistan is much better than people's perception.
He therefore created the Facebook group Back 2 Pakistan, so that people that are exploring the options of moving B2P can benefit from people that have already settled in Pakistan.
Non-Resident Pakistanis, people that have returned to Pakistan or others that may be helpful in this process are welcome to join the group:

what about women, do they feel safe and what does the police do to help defenceless people eg sexual harassment, rape, honour killing murder, misogyny. marital rape, domestic violence, forced marriage, physical attacks. If I pay the police £10 would they do anything eg pretend to care.

"So, there is something called the Human Development Report, which is a summary comprised by the United Nations to express global satisfaction with life, as well as depict an overview of what it's like to be alive on Earth in this day and age. It is arguably one of the top resources for determining which countries have the happiest, healthiest, and most stable populations compared to everywhere else in the world. "

Pakistan are at the bottom - 10th lowest position.
Norway, Sweden and Denmark are among Top 11.
I have also some experience from Pakistan. The quality of life - on almost all parameters (Health, Education etc.) - is much much better in Scandinavia.
But I respect people, that love Pakistan.

This video is a response to a specific concern people have expressed about moving back to Pakistan. Not about overall happiness with life where many other parameters may be relevant :-)
