    I just love my 2015 Charger R/T 5.7 ... it's just such a amazing car.. gets very good mpg on the highway in default mode.. and in sport mode it has very aggressive performance.. and even with just a 5.7L it still has more then enough power to leave most 4 door sedan on the streets racing to catch up... Truly best Dodge I've ever owned.. Born Dodge!!!

      Which gear ratio do you have?

      This may seem like an odd the wall question, but does the front passenger seat recline back all the way, or at least quite a bit? Trying to see if I can fit an upright bass in here like I can in a Mini with the seat reclined back.

      Mikey Wiseguy what do you average both city and highway with hard acceleration at times ?

    I have been rented it for 25 days and I have to say: awesome!!! In 4600 miles the fuel consumption It's been from 15-16 MPG in the city (with frequent hard accelerations) to 28 MPG in Freeways (65 to 70 MPH, with auto throttle). That engine is impressive... I almost cried when I left it at the rental car office.

      I second you mate. Been there done that..... One hell-u-va car.. Addictive acceleration with some pretty decent handling... Should thank my rental :D

      Turbo Soplante but in combine city and highway with hard accelerations , what did you average ?

    • @turbosoplante
      @turbosoplante 7 років тому

      I don't have references about combined because I did 5 days in L.A. and the rest was a large hwy/freeway trip with no city driving. In Spain, a gas gallon is 5,20 $....anyway, you are lucky!!!!

    This is how I remember great American cars of my younger days in the good old 70s. Good to see that Dodge is still making them. ...... Salute !!

    I'm not a Chrysler guy but I give Hem their props for getting Dodge back to the muscle car era. The Charger and the Challenger are awesome rides.

    The "Dodge Brothers" emblem is a nod to the roots of the company, which began making cars under the name Dodge Brothers in 1914, not a reference to a commercial. Think of it as an easter egg, similar to what Ford and Honda have been doing for a long time as well.
    Not a big Dodge fan by any measure...but I have to admit that I think they nailed it with this new Charger. Well done.

    The 5.7 EPA is 16/25 and 6.4 is 15/25. I would get the 6.4 if I could get a good price.

      Mizzou Rah what do you average combine city and highway

    • @b0bsaget007
      @b0bsaget007 7 років тому +3

      But the 392 needs premium, while the 5.7 runs on either regular or mid-grade.

    Now if only every charger I've seen on the road wasn't driven by some asshole who has no regard for speed limits or the lives of other motorist I might actually like them.

    • @TestDrivenTV
      @TestDrivenTV  9 років тому +1

      Ken Allen You are correct. It has a sport button on the dash which quickens shift parameters, changes the mapping of throttle inputs and steering feel. We'll make a point not to gloss pass it on the next one ;)

    • @kallen446
      @kallen446 9 років тому

      No worries. I was asking as I was contemplating between this and the challenger rt

    • @victormaitland5249
      @victormaitland5249 9 років тому +1

      +Ken Allen Forgot to mention the awesome power steering too ! It offers 3 different modes, so you can customize the way it steers...from stiff to very easy steering experiences. As always Dodge has a great product that has way too many critics seem to enjoy attacking with everything but honest and facts...it's a superior car, no American Sedan comes close to this awesome muscle car/family ride !
