      I disagree because that eliminates the learning curve from the arena. When you’re a beginner or just starting out you should play with other people to get to know how to use the characters. Or it just isn’t fun anymore. The whole point of the game is to be more tactical and make plays and it’ll take away from the game if these characters are just handed to us, you know? Learning how a character works is part of the game...

I loved the dramatic build up in both your voice and the music towards breaking the view line. It gives a nice sense of motivation for becoming better at grapples. And here I was thinking the video was great and just about to end when suddenly you whipped out the crazy grapple clips at the end. As a 100+ Hours Pathfinder main they made my jaw drop. I had to rewind several of those grapples to see how you got so much height and distance while completely changing direction all while keeping it butter smooth. Exceptionally well done! as a player with millions of grapple metres and thousands of path kills, i think this is definitely the best video for beginners and professionals. personally i didn’t use the grapple in close range areas like that one where you slid through the doorway, and the one in slums near the respawn.
    i’m very keen on the pro movement guide. but as a video idea, i haven’t seen anyone show off the floor grappling capabilities and peacock abilities. (i call it peacocking where you grapple the floor a couple metres in front of you and jump, but you keep moving backwards and slowly side to side to keep height in the air but also not be hit in an upside-down semi-circle arc. this technique has definitely saved me from many encounters with mastiff and 4th/5th party’s)
    amazing video and definitely should be getting more likes and subs.

      I tried to break it down into steps so you can always train the fundamentals before trying the next complicated step. One of my problems with other Grapple Slingshot Tutorials is, that most just show you the final technique. But that doesn't help you in building a good foundation and getting consistent with it. So it would be awesome to hear if my version actually helped you, if you had some time to train.

    To people being scared or intimidated. Don’t be. I managed to learn all of this with no guide or anything, and honestly. It just becomes second nature. It’s like explaining vectors and physics of opening a door with specific movements, twist knob, push, walk in, (freedom of choice to shut behind you or turn around and shut it) it gets really easy to understand. And a lot of it is just practice/experience.

    Who's here after the nerf :(

    • @randoprior4130
      @randoprior4130 4 роки тому +4

      Yep. Back again to continue training and learning. I've spent hundreds of hours training my grappling, starting halfway through season 3. Now after this nerf, the only way to get better is in training range. Grapple, land, change characters and then change again back to path to reset the cooldown, and repeat. Even with gold helmet it's over 30 seconds. Training is more important now than ever with pathfinder. You can't afford to miss a grapple anymore. Period.

    • @templar9240
      @templar9240 4 роки тому

      rando prior how do you spend hundreds of hours just using pathfinders grapple? that would be boring af

    • @randoprior4130
      @randoprior4130 4 роки тому +1

      @@templar9240 easy! When I pick up a new game I spend at least 50 hours learning all there is to know about the movement and intricacies of the game. Leftover habit from speedrunning. I tried every legend and every ability, and without a doubt the best ability in this game tactical or ultimate is pathfinders grapple. So I started training with it just like training wallbouncing and other movement techs. When cooldown was done I pressed it to activate the second it finished. Unless I knew I was getting into a fight, literally my main mode of transport in this game was talking before the nerf. Constantly racing ahead to scout, and returning to my squad. You don't get to choose exactly when you need to grapple mid fight, so I trained just activating it every time I could on any surface within range. Found what works best swinging right to left, not jumping every time, etc. When I pick up apex to play I spend an hour in training range practicing recoil control movement and grappling. I play every day. Add in the 50+ initial hours, an hour every day before playing (even if it's only a few games) and you get easily a hundred. Combine that with hundreds of hours of gameplay grappling as often as reasonably possible. Got to the point most times my cooldown was done right about the time my momentum ended and grapple again. I get the nerf. But 35 seconds? Maybe 25 would be too little but honestly I wish I could go back to 15 second cooldown even if only for a LTM. Mostly it's a leftover trait from speedrunning games and practicing movement techs. Hell rocket League I spent my first 300 hours only in free play no games.
