my favorite things about my kindle are space and saving money! as a student in a very small apartment i don't have a lot of space for books and since i got my kindle as a gift i save sooo much money. i got so used to it that i am always shocked when i see the prices for books at the bookstore
Another benefit is the Whispersync feature with Audible, which means that the Kindle and phone sync to the correct place in the book. I would listen to an audiobook while commuting, then open up my Kindle at lunchtime and continue reading, then listen to the audiobook on the way home. The Audible book and the Kindle book were totally in sync, which meant my reading experience was completely seamless.
Oh true, this is a great benefit! I have not experimented with this kind of swapping myself, but it definitely makes sense when you are commuting. I have to try this, thanks. 🙂
Agree on all points. I love my eReaders (I have both a Kobo and a Kindle) and love having my library with me in 227 grams! Oh, and the font-size adjustment! As I get older, adjusting the font-size really helps. Great video, very informative :)
Yeah, in some books the font-size is a bit small. Would you recommend reading with the Kindle or Kobo? Or do you like using both? Thanks for the feedback! :)
I want to support bookstores and I hate giving even more money to big tech companies like Amazon. Having said that, using the Kindle app with continuous scroll and reading ruler enabled with the open dyslexic font has been a game changer. Its such a great reading experience that it's made me passionate about books again
First visit to your channel. This was a nice, straightforward review that was helpful. I'm hand-wringing in purchasing an eReader so these positives were good to hear. TY. The cat is a lovely bonus of viewing!
Thank you! I'm glad these positives might make the decision easier. I hope the Kindle will keep your reading experience calm if you decide to purchase it. 😉
I love the portability especially when traveling. Always have my library with me. In addition to all things mentioned in the video I have my library cards connected to the Libby app so I can get books from the library any time. I returned a book to the library and took another one out on Christmas Day. So convenient. In addition to the library I have saved so much money with deals on kindle books. I haven’t spent more than $3.99 on a book in ages.
Yeah, I would say it is easily one of the top benefits. That's pretty convenient, and oftentimes you find some interesting books in libraries. Have you tried out the Kindle Unlimited? ☺
It's also perfect if you are at the beach or pool because the newer models are water-resistant. I still like reading physical books, but the Kindle is just so easy to take with you.
I added a Doodroo screen protector. It takes away all the glare, and makes reading relaxing for the eyes. Seriously, an undiscovered secret. And, of course, it allows me to write easily with the Apple Pencil as well. About as good as e-ink technology. 🎉
the cat behind you is licking his own butt, great content. I have no idea what you were talking about, little distracted. Must be quite a smell in that room.

Yeah, those are definitely good reasons, especially if you enjoy reading many books. 🙂

@@HenrysPath - both have strong points, but I prefer my kobo because I own the books, and I have more screen adjustment options.
I love your kitty.
Haha, he is the star of this video ☺
I stayed to the end because of your kitty there 😂
Haha, he is always stealing the show 😋

Yeah, I completely understand you from that standpoint. Oh, that's nice to hear.

I have been using the Kindle since 2008. This video is a good overview and introduction to the Kindle.
Meow to the cat on the condo .
Oh wow, you are an early adopter, as it was issued in 2007. 😄
Haha, the cat appreciates the meow.
Great video with great information. I truly appreciate it. Have a kindle on the way. Awesome cat by the way.
Thanks a lot. I'm sure you will enjoy it! 🙂
I already multiple kindles, but wanted to say I enjoyed the video
Thanks! That's great. What is your favorite genre?
I really need to invest in one for traveling. I have never used a digital reading device, I love physical books and I think this is why ☺
It's also perfect if you are at the beach or pool because the newer models are water-resistant. I still like reading physical books, but the Kindle is just so easy to take with you.
@@HenrysPath ohhh the beach! Good reminder! 😊

Oh, that's pretty cool! Some niche advice that I wouldn't have come up with myself. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Great review!
Thank you! ☺
I like that it has a dictionary and highlighter.
The phone with kindle app is awesome also.
Yeah, it's convenient. Do you use it mainly for reading or audio?
Totally for reading. Have not got into audio yet.
Nice video.
Thank you! I appreciate it.

Much less waste.
Good point, it saves trees, pulping and shipping. 🙂
My Kindle app does all these better and I don't have to carry another device.
Yeah, it is very handy as you don't have to carry anything extra. I prefer reading with the Kindle because it is better for the eyes.
Borrow from your local library
Also, a valid option. 🙂
