+Mr.WolfKING 43 haha, the shirt was a prototype for a company my friend was trying to start. There were a few design flaws but it was going to be called "Stick Figures in Perile"
+Mr.WolfKING 43 of course they can, but that would usually give them a separate credit on the movie. Either "story by" or if they write it "written by". The job of the Director, though, is to shape the story for the screen, if they are creating the story they are adding another title/job to the list on top of Directing.
I have noticed that Darius gets a lot of requests from people asking him to review their films and that he is quite selective in the ones he covers. I see you as having a similar skill set and ability to speak to camera that could be applied to help satisfy the demand for reviews. It would make compelling viewing.
You can, it really is up to you on how much control you want to have. When I am directing a film I come with my shot list and storyboards but am ready to change things up if someone has a better idea. Basically come as prepared as possible but be willing to switch things up if you need to. Sometimes the best ideas can come from the lowest level crew member.
Not entirely sure the question. Here is a guess for you though. Director of Photography is in charge of camera and they answer to the Director. The director answers to the producer.
Jared Isham same with a screenwriter except he’d have to have made a name for himself? If I remember correctly, the screenwriter for film has no power as they sell off their scripts but in shows they have full power. I heard that if the screenwriter makes a good pay he could produce, direct and write films- again after he’d made a name for himself correct?
It really depends on the situation. The models are changing quickly and what was true 10 years ago isn't necessarily true today. The short of it is, you should really learn as much as you can, take every opportunity you can and not wait for someone else to give you an opportunity.
I'm 9 and my grandmother is buying me a expensive camera and I'm wondering how to make good films with it and put it all over the world. So i will have friends to help me with it and maybe as I'm growing it might be a huge success 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Plot comes from the script so that is the screenwriters job...unless the director is the screenwriter. Another thing that might happen is the director comes up with the plot to a movie then hires a screenwriter to write it for them. Does that answer your question?

Depends on if the director is the producer as well. Paying actors is determined by your budget, local labor laws, etc. There are various options such as a money exchange, passion exchange, equity exchange, etc. It can be an easy answer it a very loaded one. If you want something less theoretical then: Director pays the actors with money.
They usually get financing. It is a business deal where the investors commit a certain amount of money because they see a return on investment. Most movies are made as business deals so it isn't likely you just get massive amounts of money to go play with, you need to have a business plan in place that shows how you will get your return. As far as who pays for it: private investors, studios, or distributors...whoever wants to attempt to make a return on their investment. Hope that helps.
He does not blink
Nothing gets past me ;-) does the wink count as a blink?
A wink is a wink a blink is a blink haha
because he's reading the prompter
That's probably it. I don't use a prompter anymore. But I do plan on adding to this series in 2019.

Captain Wolf of course, if the director writes it.
you are great man
Well thank you. ☺️
If I was playing charades & got "Director" I would shout out "AND ACTION!!"
You can't talk in charades..

I really like the video buuuut maybe you could be more comfortable with the camera. It is waay too obvious you're reading a script.
Agreed, this video is quite a bit older. I'm planning on doing an update soon. 😉
We are student of films. You know a lot about them. Have you ever considered vlogging channel reviews??
+From Clapham Junction I have really thought of that. Did you have a specific idea in mind of what you were thinking?

+From Clapham Junction That's a great idea! I may just have to add that to the list of things to do. Thanks for the tip!
Way too much struggle
But I'll become a good director!!!
Wow, I'm a screenwriter and actor in North Africa and I want to work together as a director or production company
Hey Yassine I’m from somalia 🇸🇴 and I think we can work together can you send me your email?

Yassine Abed I’ll email you now thank you 🙏🏽
Okay so i would like to make films. Like make and create the stories. So i would be the director, screenwriter, and producer correct?
Yeahp, often times Producer & Director go hand in hand. If you write the story then you are the screenwriter.
@@JaredIsham alright thanks for answering sir!

that was a really good video and by the way i have a question does the director control all the camera shots and angles while filming?
You can, it really is up to you on how much control you want to have. When I am directing a film I come with my shot list and storyboards but am ready to change things up if someone has a better idea.

Jared Isham hmm thats a good piece of advice I'll remember that when i direct my own film one day.
@@mrpeace9836 you should take some notes from him 😈
I have question
Camera is of directors or producers?
Not entirely sure the question. Here is a guess for you though. Director of Photography is in charge of camera and they answer to the Director. The director answers to the producer.
But could the Director of Cinematography ever “upgrade” into becoming a full fledged director?
100% happens a lot.
Also, that is part of the working up the latter scenario.

I was trying to come up with something clever to say in response. All I got is "hehe."

Do they create the plot ?

How am I gonna have the budget to pay my actors if I were to make my 1st movie? So this means I have to work at McDonald's first???
o ok
How do new directors afford a movie that costs about $300k, Such as halloween? Who pays it?
They usually get financing. It is a business deal where the investors commit a certain amount of money because they see a return on investment.
