Great video of cave. Have been there twice last time was 1980. Wanting to go back and working on it. Sure was surprised to see y'all back so soon y'all made my day especially Tina's signature salute 😂😂😂😅
I just had to wait until I could use my right arm/hand enough I could edit. Been hiking since a couple days after surgery. Definitely have to keep things more mellow for a while, but at least I can still get out there.
Jerry you are the master! Another amazing video! Carlsbad Caverns is a bucket-list item for me, and you make it look beautiful, even in with the low light.
Love Carlsbad, love caves in general but its especially great to see a good one without having to be on a guided tour. It has not been crowded either of the times I was there, probably helps that I arrive first thing in the morning. The one guided tour they were offering was great too though, would love to experience the other ones but they weren't running them for whatever reason both times, maybe seasonal? I would also love to see the bat flight but I find it difficult to justify any trip to the southwest in summer for any reason beyond this, and I like to make my trip big ones. But if you want a magical animal display in winter near Carlsbad I highly recommend Bosque del Apache.
Hello sir, My name is Mary and I work at the Caverns, I'm a part of what you captured in the cave at the snack bar or what used to be called the lunchroom. Why you ask why it was so busy the day of y'all's visit, well March/April was spring break and then the eclipse on Monday and then everyone heading home from the eclipse viewing. Thank you for coming.
Yeah, we figured it was the holiday season. Still an absolutely amazing place, even with lots of other people there. We'll be back. (And of all the snack bars to work in, you picked the best one!)
Perfect timing! Thanks, I'll be going in a couple of weeks. Did they offer Cavern water? Oh man, if they ever offer it, I highly recommend tasting it. It's the purest water you'll ever drink! Natural Bridge Caverns in Texas has a water fountain of cavern water on the way out.
I got there on April 10, 2024 at noon and could not get a ticket, plus online reservations were sold out for several days. So I came back at 7:30 AM the next day and there was already a line. They open at 8 AM. Stood in line 1 hour 45 minutes but got a ticket for 9:30 AM. I took the elevator down instead of the hike. A fantastic place. Got some great pictures with my IPhone's 3 second exposures. Andy
I live in Ohio and Carlsbad Caverns is near the top of my list of national parks. My 1st visit was in 1962 on a family vacation. And several years ago on 2 different road trips out west. It’s way out of the way but worth all the miles. What a beautiful cave.
That would be a dream. But then again, I'm enjoying just playing around on YT. No deadlines, no bosses....just do what I feel like doing when I feel like doing it. (But thank you for the compliment!)
It's a hard one to film. You use a low light lens and it doesn't look right, use another lens and you can't see a thing. Awesome that you got to experience it though. 😄👍
Clint is a buddy of mine from Texas. There are quite a few videos where we've gone out on some adventures. It was just crazy timing he happened to be right in the same area, basically a 10 hour drive from his place and ours.
@@JerryArizona So cool!! I'm still backtracking on videos to get up to speed. Enjoying the two of you and the silly sweet humor and of course the locations.
I visited Carlsbad Caverns in 1977. I was 13. My family went on a road trip from Salt Lake City, Utah to Ft Worth, Texas, stopping at the Grand Canyon and many other places along the way. The whole region is mind bogglingly beautiful. 🏜️✌️🖖
Your choice of music is spot on. Perfect

Nice treat. Wasn’t expecting a new Jerry and Tina video tonight. And Clint, too!
Hopefully I'm back on the weekly upload schedule now.
Absolute cathedral. Rembrandt of the caves. Thanks.
I used to live in daytrip range of Carlsbad a long time back, so I've been there many times. Thanks for the memories :)
Love the self guided tour there. The team that designed the lighting system did an excellent job bringing out the features of the cave.
They did. Just enough to see what you need to see without over doing it.
Beautiful video, Jerry. And the music was perfect.
Finally another one I have done! I visited a couple of times. It's very beautiful. No way I'd want to walk back up though.
???
The elevator was an unexpected but welcome feature.
Hi Jerry, thanks for the video. Visited many years, and it's good to see it again in all its glory. Cheers...
I’m from Carlsbad! That’s a great hike.

Not a great place to film, but it's an amazing place to visit.

Just looked at Bosque online now and it looks incredible. Definitely need to add that one to the list.

No cavern water that I saw. I'll have to look into Natural Bridge Caverns. Haven't heard of it.
My home town i miss it so much!!! Thank u for the beautiful reminder

When we were kids we found another smaller cave. Totally cool explore.
Bet there are lots out there.
WOW! Long way from home. Yes, its impossible to capture the caverns, but nice to be reminded they're still there.😘 Happy travels.
That place is absolutely beautiful... I ventured there back in October the day before the eclipse. Great trip!

Love your channel💓👍🔔
Never been. Looks impressive. It’s always a good video when Tina flys the free bird😂👍
You know Jerry, you’re still young enough to start a second career as a filmmaker. Think about it!
That would be a dream. But then again, I'm enjoying just playing around on YT. No deadlines, no bosses....just do what I feel like doing when I feel like doing it. (But thank you for the compliment!)
I was just there last week. So cool down there.
@Jerry... If you get a chance to go when the bats are around I think you will enjoy it. It is amazing to see(smell) nature as it leaves the cave.
Have been there once it’s beautiful I love it. Would love to take my grandkids sometime.
3:23 is amazing moment 😂
I’m assuming Guadalupe Peak as in high point of Texas Guadalupe Peak ?
That's the one.
I'm always satisfied when you finally get the bird hahahahahha
thanks for the invite
Sorry man. They don't allow Crocs in the cave.

Your vid turned out fine. I think it gave me too much false confidence and I didn't really think about how I was gonna do it.
Im still fairly new to y'all. Who is Clint? Family? Fellow trekker?

I fear the fracking nearby will eventually collapse some of the cave systems.
Hopefully not....
Too close 💯! Thanks for the tour 😎👩🦯➡️👨🦯🧑🦯➡️👩🦯👨🦯➡️
Mrs fun right there.
Far too busy to visit. Utube vid will suffice.
I don't think it's usually this busy. This was a holiday weekend.
It's probably just me but it's really a turn off when someone flips off the camera. Why would you do that?
That was 💯 spot on pre coffee expression meant to be a👍but came out a🖕oopsie 😅. It can’t all be unicorns 🦄 and rainbows 🌈.
I get it. It's just our sense of humor though.
