- I actually took my breath away with this one and I am so proud of this one. Puddles of liquid paint, on a black background using only a marble to create lines and designs. This one is a WOW for me and I can't wait to hear what you think too.

▶ Technique: Puddle Pour and Marble Tilt
▶ Canvas size: 24 x14 inch
▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with a pouring medium using Floetrol/Owatrol (1:3 Paint: Pouring Medium) with just a dash of water to make it slightly more fluid.
▶ Color Palette:
Amsterdam: Lamp Black (Base)
Amsterdam Pearlescent: Pearl White, Pearl Yellow, Pearl Red, Pearl Blue, Pearl Violet, Pearl Green
▶ Hair dryer: Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting

@@user-be4nq8kx3l hi - I don’t use white paint? These are pearlescent paints (that appear white before they react with the black base, dry, and change color) 👍🏻🤩

I am really enjoying this series. I see so many different things going on in this piece. Thank you for your time and how you explain every step. I started getting a few things to start painting. Then my mom was and is very ill, and I am taking care of her. I can not be in the middle of painting, and then she needs help. It is a 24/7. It has been six months so far. I have still been getting canvases here and there when I can leave the house.

Gorgeous my friend! I too have started a series with these paints and they’re just magical! I also love how they don’t seem to blend with each other rich gives you the opportunity to layer complementary colors beside each other without the worry of creating mud. Absolutely gorgeous! Just perfect!! Love watching you work❤️. I’m so impressed w/the vibrancy of your colors. I have done a couple and am clearly doing something wrong. My colors are not nearly as deep as yours. Don’t know if it’s my PM or what😱 I guess it’s back to the drawing board. You’re the professional and the inspiration. Thanks!!❤️
What black are you using? I know people using creative inspirations are not getting the results they want? I’m using lamp black by Amsterdam. Your pearlescent puddles might also be too thick. You need to stretch them out so the paint layer is thin (if that makes sense) x

You have a great way of describing the process. I saw how the little puddles were distorting the edges of the other puddles. Then you said volume. That’s the perfect word!
I had no idea that the pearlescent paints would absorb the black paint. The final result was stunning. It reminded me of reflections on water of brightly colored flowers like irises with soft petals.
