- A mesmerizing performance by Kaushiki Chakrabarty with Soumik Datta on Sarod and Pt. Vijay Ghate on tabla; Parmomita Mukherji on harmonium and Allarakha Yaminkhan on sarangi. Here is a fine rendition of a thumri in raga Manj Khamaj. - 21 July 2013 at Oranjerie Theater in Roermond, The Netherlands.
Indian Musicians just amaze me, they never read any written music or follow a conductor or pratice for hours with each other, and they just silentlly read each others eye, minds and create mutiful ragas melodies. Love you Bharat!
An absolutely hard practice of years and from childhood bring them to creat a difficult vocal sounds with such a ease.

I have an ancestor from India. When I listen to this music, it feels like I can feel her love emanating down on me from beyond, warm and welcoming, grounding me. There is nothing like India.

It was not based upon the idea to divide people rather give people the purpose of life without having to twindle through life not knowing it. I know it has many cons but it has some pros too that is why it was created in the first place. The caste system was the primary pillar of the advancement in various fields one of which u seem to be enjoying in this video.
