I’m so sad, we had a three-night stay booked at Hotel Breakers for a CP trip that we cancelled in 2020 due to rapidly rising cases 😭 One day we’ll make it back up there! The photo collages in the lobby are so cool. The carousel horses remind me a lot of the boardwalk inn at Disney. LOVE all that extra space in the hot tubs, something that even the prominent Orlando resorts are often lacking. And hey, you can’t go wrong with TGI Friday’s! 😁 Thanks for taking us along to see the hotel….that in-room fridge be HUGE! 👀
We cannot wait to get back up to Cedar Point. It was absolutely amazing and staying at Hotel Breakers was like the icing on the cake! When we were watching videos before going and while there, we kept saying how it gave us the feels of the boardwalk hotel at WDW; so your right on the money with that as well. I was lucky to catch the pools and hot tubs empty as it has just rained and they were still closed. But when the pool area is open, those hot tubs are packed. But agree they are very roomie. That in room fridge was fantastic! One of the best parts of the room. To have an actually freezer was amazing! Because the breakfast offerings was slim, we took advantage of the fridge and freezer with food items from Kroger. Another way it felt like the boardwalk hotel. With getting food items and having the mini fridge and microwave and brings everything else to eat in the room, the room felts like a DVC Deluxe Stuido room. Thanks for watching! -Chad
Good video. CP has 4 hotel properties and a RV campground with cabins too. I've been there 2x and missed the ice cream parlor and fitness area at the breakers. It's a large hotel! Also want to mention there is a shuttle service that will drop u off at park gates and 2 other restaurants on the marina side (Dave's BBQ and the Bay Harbor). There's no shuttle from their other hotels tho. For those interested in doing other things, you can get the Jet express boat from the marina and do a trip to Kelly's island and Put in Bay which I recommend. 3 or 4 days is a nice stay. Can't wait to go back next.
Walking to a bed instead of my car after 12 hours in that park is awesome. The best part is having your own toilet. Staying here changes the experience of this park so much. If you can spend the money.
Me and my brother George will be staying at this hotel on our two-day CP trip next week! (August 12th-13th) Can't wait, it'll be my 13th and 14th times visiting my favorite park! (I'm from Grand Rapids, Michigan BTW)
We had no idea CP even had hotels. So impressed by the size & theming. Love all the art work and especially those carousel pieces. Some simple but great on site dining options. Have you tried the Hibachi ? I’ve never seen a hot tub that big before. Ice cream looked so good!! Art work in the room was great too. Love that the balcony was screened in. Thanks so much for this informative video 😊
They actually have 3 accommodation properties. Hotel Breakers is the main one that is right in the middle of the park. They also have a camp ground with cabins to the right of Hotel Breakers behind their water park. And there is a value hotel in the town of Sandusky right before you start driving up the peninsula to the amusement park. We did not get the chance to try the hibachi, but would consider it on another visit. The ice cream was amazing! Not only is it served there, it’s the ice cream used throughout the park. So the sundae that we had in our food video was the same. Loved the art in the room and the ferris wheel is not the only design. We have seen other videos where they have some of the coasters on the headboard. The balcony was a nice amenity for the room, not all the rooms have them. Thanks for watching! -Chad
I just really wanna know how late yhem hot yubs stay open. When i go to the park i do 2 full days and a half day if my body isnt Sore. Usually stay at the tru or the hampton inn not far away but their hottub closes at 11
@@RyanAnthony-r9f during our stay in May of 2022, the hot tub was open pretty late, maybe till 11pm or so. I’m sure the pool hot tub area operation times vary by season, so I cannot give any definitive answer. If you have a time period in mind, it might be worth a quick call to the hotel to ask. Thanks for watching. 😀 -Chad
They've really updated those rooms. I think that room was on the original side of the hotel. Those rooms were barely big enough for 1 person back when I stayed there. Wonder if they are still haunted?
This room is in what’s called Breakers Tower. It was added to the resort in 1999; so not apart of the original Hotel Breakers building. As for it being haunted, unsure, we never felt any paranormal presence during our stay. Thanks for watching. 😀 -Chad
OH MY GOSHHHHHH I freaked out when I saw Perkins was in this hotel!! WOW!! I've never seen that before, that is AMAZING!! (I love Perkins lol) This hotel is really pretty, definitely giving me Hershey Hotel meets Boardwalk vibes! The real question though, is does this hotel have $5 massage chairs?!?!?! :)
I’m surprising my Mom with a full day of halloweekends and a night in hotel breakers. I can’t wait! Also, as an Ohioan, it’s Tofts ice cream not Taft’s😂
What an awesome surprise! We would like to check out Halloween Weekends one day. My apologies for pronouncing Toft’s Ice Cream incorrectly. Thanks for watching. 😀 -Chad
Yes it is possible. When you drive up towards the entrance to the park, there is a special entrance to the side road to go to the hotel and park. Then you can just checkin and enjoy the hotel and beach. Thanks for watching. 😀
Sorry for the delay. Thank you for watching our video. We think that Hotel Breakers is the best way to go for a CP trip. With the hotel being right in the middle of the park and making it walking distance, it’s great. As for complaints, the only complaint we have is the restaurant options. We just wish there was a quick service and / or a grab and go option place would be better then 3 full service restaurants. So unless you are ok with the options or are looking to always eat in the park, you have to leave the point to eat. With that said, with the larger refrigerator and the microwave in the room, we found that making breakfast in the room was easy. There are no major complaints we can think of for the room Itself. Thanks again for watching! 😀 -Chad
Great convenient place to stay. Very pricy, the price is for the location only bc everything else about the hotel is very underwhelming. If u are hungry, you are on your own. Service is as slow as 2020, 21, 22, and 23. We stay multiple days many time per season and it only gets worse. TGI Fridays and Perkins, ha its 1999 all over agin. Very irrelevant restaurant and dated in the hotel. Dominos left and now there is some horrible boardwalk pizza that sells chef boradi pizza kits and pilsbury bread sticks, just awful. The hotel has no kitchen itself to serve its guest, the hotel pawns off all accountability to the fake independent restaurants on site. There is no one to hold accountable for bad service or meals. Kids overcrowd the adult bars for kiddy cocktails bc there is no place for non drinkers to eat or drink. There is a ghost town of services at the hotel after parks close. We bring premade meals bc there is never food easily available. There is no place for adults only, it would be nice to escape kids and teens in the hot tubs everywhere. I bring my kids but I want some adult time. The hotel in my opinion doesn’t really feel like a hotel, more like a dormitory bc of lack of services for the price. I’d don’t mind the price but I would really love for breakers to have a real luxury resort feel instead we get a cheesy family owned Florida beach motel vibe.
Nice thorough tour of the style of room I haven't seen yet.
Thank you so much for watching! We do these room tours in hope that it will help people plan down the road. :)
Love the video..thank you

Wow, it has changed so much since our stay in 2012. I knew they refurbished it but haven't walked over to check it out. Thanks for the tour! 👍

@@TwoTicketsToAdventure there's also castaway bay near the express hotel and the saw mill golf resort a bit further away.
I’ve stayed there before I was in the new part of the building, but we were only up one floor.

Last Perkins I've been too was during the college program in Orlando! And no they didn't! 😂 We even went to look in the arcade and nothing. 🥲
I’m not sure if you mentioned it so far, but they also have dominoes in the hotel. It comes straight to your room.

Is it possible to I just stay at the hotel without paying for the park. I just want the beach experience
