I work there and enjoy going to work everyday! I worked there in 2003 through 2006 and I love the renovations they did. Such a beautiful hotel with so much history
Came here from 🇬🇧 back in 2012 with my Dad. We’re planning another trip next year once this pandemic over. Well worth the two plane journeys we have to take to get there lol Having now done Magic Mountain and Great Adventure I can now 100% confirm. Cedar Point is the best amusement park in USA. No place like it!
Wow. That is a nice hotel. The last time we were up there we stayed at the Holiday Inn Holidrome. Stayed there out of a sense of nostalgia. Had I known about the Breakers I think we would have skipped the nostalgia. Nice video.
I remember those Holidomes! Stayed in one in SD, once upon a time. Breakers is a little pricier, but it's nice to avoid traffic, parking, and walk right into the park. Thanks for watching!
You're going to have a great time, Stephanie! Enjoy the early entry time, and enjoy some time around the resort after the park closes. It's nice hanging out around the beach/pool area in the evening.
Must have some good memories from the park. It had been a few years since we were last there, and it was fun to re-live some of that nostalgia this visit.
Oooo I’m so excited I’m going to cedar point Thursday! I was there in 2019 and going again. My favourite ride there is probably gatekeeper that was a good ride!
Great video! I’ve been staying here almost yearly for the past decade. I love seeing it from the view point of others though. The place is full of charm ☺️
That's awesome! It had been nearly 15 years since my last day, so it was great to be back. Nice tradition to go every year. We feel the same way about seeing things from the perspective of others.
Nice presentation, sir! I recently spoke with Cedar Point about metal detecting the beach and they said it's permitted. Considering the park opened in 1870 exclusively as a beach attraction, as you mentioned, who knows what I could find. I haven't been to Cedar Point in over 20 yrs. Anyway, I spoke with them by phone at length about my anticipated visit. They indicated I only have to pay for parking to enjoy the beach, so no amusement admission costs, which is nice, but they also said I can only park to access the beach on days the park is open. Soon, the park is only open like Fridays thru Sundays and they close at the end of October, I think. I wish I could do my detecting while the park is closed, but I guess I'd need a boat to do that. 😂
Thanks, Randall! Interesting info - I hadn't really thought of just coming strictly for the beach, but it makes sense as an option. Cool that you can do some metal detecting on the beach while you're there, too.
@@mrcoaster1 - No beach pun intended, friend...but I took the plunge, as it only made good sense. I went ahead and bought a Gold Pass the other night, that's good now through the end of 2022 and includes free unlimited parking. The unlimited parking is awesome, as $20 parking per visit would add-up to a ton of money in short order. I added on a meal pass and drink pass, which are only valid 2022. It's a numbers game for Cedar Fair, as they know most people won't make numerous return visits, but I did the math and I got a great deal because I'll be making the 2 hr round trip several times this year and about 20 times next year, which would be about once per week. Meals are typically $15 a pop and you're allowed 2 meals per visit. So...lunch and dinner breaks between detecting during each visit X 20 visits= about $600 worth of food for $109+ tax total, that's a deal. That's not even taking into account the unlimited drinks plan for $32.99+ tax. Drinks are not cheap there at around $5 each. I don't drink tons of pop, but as you can see, I'd recoup the drink pass cost very quickly. 😂 They're going to hate seeing the weird guy with the metal detector and a bottomless gut returning every week to eat them out of business. Hehehe! 😉
Best bets are to fly into Toledo (75 mins away) or Cleveland (55 mins away). Best months for lower crowds are late May (typically open daily by mid-May, but pandemic has changed that a little), and later August/September. Early June isn't bad (aside from the CoasterMania event first Friday in June). If possible, stick with a weekday over a weekend for lower crowds and lines. Thanks for watching!
@@kiwisun529 not open in April. You'd have to go to Kings Island just north of Cincinnati to go in April. Cedar Point opens usually around first weekend of May. You're playing Russian roulette with weather in northern Ohio that time of year though. One other thing.... its Cedar Point.... there are NO months that are good for least crowds. Your best bet is to go during the week. Tuesday-Thursday. There's still gonna be a lot of people there, but not as bad as the weekend.
If it's to grab a couple of snippets as part of a video of your own, absolutely. Would prefer not if it is strictly a repost (with just a few added elements).

Very cool. Loved working at a theme park myself, and I know you probably had some great and crazy experiences/stories. Love the history of the hotel.

Such a great park! Hope you’re able to make it next year. Long trip, but worth it.
Recently went to Universal Studios Florida and your right! I missed C.P. real quick.
This is a great informative video about the hotel! Thanks for taking the time to make it :)
Thanks for watching! It has some great history, and you can't beat the location!
Great video! This looks like an amazing hotel. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much! It has a lot of history, great location, and some fun atmosphere at night after the parks close.

We are staying at Breakers for the first time in two weeks and We Cannot Wait!!!!

Thanks for the tour. I use to live in Northwest Ohio and went to Cedar point many times when I was younger as it was a short drive.
Must have some good memories from the park. It had been a few years since we were last there, and it was fun to re-live some of that nostalgia this visit.
Thank you so very much. Will be there soon for a week.
Thank YOU for watching. Have fun! Enjoy the hotel and the coasters!
Enjoying travelling trough your eyes, keep it up!
Thanks, jean-marc! It's fun to share some of the things we're doing, and re-live them later, too.
Beautiful place...we are going to get there!! ~Dawn
Hard to beat the location - close to the park, close to the beach, plenty of atmosphere at night. You'll love it when you make it there.

I’m checking in next Wednesday
I'll bet you will have a great time, Matt! Enjoy your trip!

Great Video! We just did a video on Walleye Fishing and the KOA campground near Cedar Point. KOA Cheaper than the hotels!
That sounds cool. I'll check it out!
Thanks. Love your channel!
Hi want to fly there next year. What month is good for low crowds? Also is it an easy drive from airport?

@@mrcoaster1 Hi I wanted to come in April. Is Cedar Point not open
year round? If not is the earliest I can come is Mid May? thanks.

I actually stade there it so fun they have a fue pools and you can go to the beach and I recommend going
It really is a fun place. Glad you were able to go there, too.
What time did the pools close
They usually close at around 10-11 p.m. Enough time for a nice swim after a day in the park.
Hih could I use this for a video I'm making? I'll give full credit and everything

Pretty!
this is such a coincidence i literally went there three days after this was filmed
Ha! Pretty cool. We love watching other videos that were shot around the same time, to see it from other people's perspectives.
It’s beautiful just so expensive 😞
Definitely paying for the proximity to the park. Great for those trips when you are able to splurge though.
