Pipe and Auger Installation Instructions | EZ Dock Installation

In this instructional video on pipe and auger installation, you will learn more about the dock assembly process and how to secure your floating dock using pipe augers. Pipe augers from EZ Dock are designed specifically for penetrating the seafloor.
In this video, you will learn how to assemble your dock from EZ Dock and ensure it is secure to the lake, ocean or river floor using our pipe augers. The first step in the installation process is to insert the dock sections into the water. Use the coupler set to attach each section. A driver tool will help you tighten these couplers for greater stability and durability. Be sure to pry the dock apart and use the in-water coupler installation tool before torquing the couplers to 15 foot-pounds with the driver. Always make sure not to over-tighten them.
When you’ve secured your dock sections together, you can prepare the auger kit and O.D. pipe to go into the water. Install the pipe bracket kit into the side of the dock, and secure it with couplers. Again, torque the couplers to 15 foot-pounds without over-tightening them. Carefully screw the auger pipe into the soil bed at least 2 feet deep or 1/3 of the water’s depth.
Once the auger pipe is secure, you can attach your polyethylene gangways, insert your pocket filler and install the dock bumpers and cleats. And you’re done!
