Your video is absolutely amazing! The cinematography and editing are top-notch, making the whole experience so enjoyable to watch. It's clear that you have a true passion for RC, and your excitement shines through whether you're at the skatepark, hitting the ramps, or drifting.
Hi Fil - man, now you've got me excited! Mine is still in the post though! 😓 It looks and goes every bit as good as I was hoping! Man that skatepark footage was bloody awesome, those backflips! 😮😮 I don't think I've ever heard you laughing so much when testing an RC, and that says something! Awesome review as always, bro! 😎👊👍
Mark, I don't think I've ever laughed so hard while testing a new RC. Honestly, I did not expect this buggy to do what it did. It just kinda kept asking for more, lol! And before you know it, we're back flipping at 40 mph! It was insane!!! 😳 Hope you get your soon, pal! Looking forward to seeing your review on it. 🍻👊🏼👍🏻
I got mine a few days ago same color. I have not ran a battery through it yet. Matter fact I have about eight new RC‘s. I have not run a battery through yet. In the last week I must’ve had six or seven delivered and I’ve had crappy weather. Hopefully, I can get a few of them outside tomorrow & on a lighter note. At least I got a few shorts up of all the new cars and trucks that came this week.
Iol l never thought l would say this ever!!! I say put that RTR on the shelf to admire it's too pretty to run and mess up!🤣 Man these RTR are so advanced nowadays and l get that but man at last this one has the looks too! But hell bash it man and it sure goes some and as another YT guy says send it too the moon and Fil you friggin did! That was high bud. Those shocks are not just about good looks they work superbly! Tough as nails too! Fun vid you definitely had fun with that little sucker! I will always be a kit guy and joined at the hip with Tamiya but respect has to be given to these rtr buggies and especially this one they nailed it and as a customer can we ask more?? Cheers buddy.
You said it, pal! There's an undeniable excellence about some of these little RTR's. We'll be die-hard Tamiya guys for life, no doubt about that. But there is something awesome about the new RC technology that is a lot of fun to play around with! 👊🏼🍻
This video is so good buddy. I've been wanting one of these since I saw the advertisements for them. Ordered one the day after they were available. Hope I get it soon. Still says order unfulfilled, but I trust this company to get it out as soon as possible. At least I hope! Dying to give it a bash nice job, buddy.
That thing looks awesome. I looked over their website, and I kinda wish they made an 1/8 scale GT class car. I'm going to need one soon anyway. Or really, any of the bigger scale stuff.
you really need to take it out in the springtime when it's not raining and warmer and then you can truly enjoy the full potential of that little buggy..cheers bud! time to go xmas shopping. and no..not for myself..family members..how i wish i could buy one of them, but alas, times have been changing..
Haha, honestly, man! They're so good! They have their pros and cons, like any RC does, but overall bang for the buck is outta this world! And the performance... Well, watch the video! Haha! 👊🏼🍻🤣
@@poorboysrcI just do what you tell me too! 😂 Lol Right now, I got a HRN Wearwolf in the mail, and I'm also waiting on a CEN Sicario. This one is definitely next on my list tho!
@Hillbillypunk follow my advice, I'd never steer you wrong! Oh, wait, isn't this how cults start? Are there any RC cults yet? Can we become RC cult pioneers??? 🤣
@Hillbillypunk i think it starts with buying a small Island in Croatia, dressing in cool white robes, and kinda going from there. We can build a sick RC track, that's a given! 🤣
The one thing I wish Rlaarlo would do is have RTR kits with unpainted bodies so that you can just skip the trademark skirting liveries without having to drop the cash on an extra shell. At least they are making clear bodies easier to get now.
Awesome car. First well constructed, and then came the run. Right out of the box it comes pretty close to my PBRC SRC results😂. But the price relly pushed me away😮. Very budget.
@poorboysrc yea I just did it to henglong tank. But I done it to a DIY tank and a wltoys 124016.. funny when people want tp follow them to show their friends haha
@divingfalconfpv4602 I'm actually working on an FPV video as we speak! Radiolink sent me their FPV system to try out. I've got it set up on my new Tamiya Hornet EVO. Lol!
@poorboysrc if u like it. Look into akk 3w or higher vtx for long range thru buildings. If u want digital there is dji and walksnail .. I'm using walksnail moonlight on m1a2. Trying to do video on tank but I forgot to record working on it. There's just some random clips 🤣 🤣 🤣
Too many options. lol. I will definitely have to decide what I will be added to my collection in 2025. I have many RC plane projects next year as well but I’m saving space and budget for at least 1 additional Rlaarlo! Great vid as always.
@rocpile for sure. I think a lot of these young RC companies need to start small and work their way up. Smaller cars are tougher, and I think that helps these new companies establish some brand recognition, and get their revenue to a point where they can start experimenting with new designs. 👍🏻
The thing is junk defect out of box, breaks at aluminum tower via four small mount screws into plastic where it cracks and snaps with no extra center support or any support at frame posts because frame is extended. They even knew about issue and fixed it out of box on ROG1 model but did not fix it on this model
How does it make you feel when a relatively new company makes a buggy like this for a price like that and then you compare it with a recent Tamiya or Kyosho product?
Oooh, it was only a matter of time until someone asked that.... It's a sign of the times, is all I can say. Customers are asking for more, and want to pay less. And Rlaarlo is giving it to them. Good looks, good speed, extreme durability, and low price point = successful business strategy. I can not deny the value or fun for my money factor with this brand. It simply can not be beat. You and I have been watching each other's channels for a lot of years. We're both huge Tamiya and Kyosho fans. All I can say is at this point we're comparing apples to oranges. Tamiya is and always will be my happy place and true love of RC. The excitement of a kit arriving and having to build it is still there after nearly 40 years in the hobby. The box art, the tire smell, the decision of which motor to use. And then.... the build! Aaahhhh, Tamiya therapy, I call it. I love building up a fresh Tamiya. ❤️❤️❤️ But there's no way I'm going to take my new Hornet EVO and back flip it 16 feet in the air over and over again and expect it to survive. It's just not built to do that. So to answer your question, I'd say that at this point, the hobby has changed. A lot! The unreal value of a Rlaarlo is out there, and there's a huge market for them. But the die-hard Tam/Kyo crew is still alive and kickin', and will always love their kits builds. It's just two very different market segments in the same hobby and I want to enjoy them both. 😁 Great question! 😉👊🏼🍻
@@poorboysrc Very interesting to read your opinions and I agree with much that you say. My first RC vehicle in the early 1980's was a Tamiya buggy and their products captured my imagination for decades. I don't think any other RC manufacturer has given us so many iconic names that are instantly recognisable - Rough Rider, Sand Scorcher, Blazing Blazer, The Grasshopper, Clod Buster, Lunchbox, Wild Willy, etc. For this, I feel a certain degree of loyalty to the Tamiya brand. But as the years have turned into decades, my collection has expanded and many other brands have tempted me to part with my hard-earned cash. The Tamiya kit build has always been a huge part of the pleasure of the RC hobby but over the last decade or so, I felt that their new products didn't capture my attention like they used to. Of course, the BBX was a great release that really brought the joy of Tamiya back for me. I hope Tamiya will give us some other products like this in the coming years. Re-releases are nice but I feel a little bit swamped by them. The problem is that there are so many great alternatives nowadays and the younger generations of RC enthusiasts do not feel the nostalgic connection to Tamiya and Kyosho that we do. Then there is the pricing. In UK, the BBX is well over 500 GBP to get up and running. I have bought some fantastic kits from China that give equally good quality, a much higher specification, but are significantly cheaper. I have seen quite a lot of negative comments about Chinese products saying they are all junk but this is simply not true. They are changing the industry and they have some amazing products. It is certainly an interesting time for RC enthusiasts. P.S. I am hoping for a re-release of the Tamiya Honda City Turbo/Willy's Wheeler in 2025, so forget what I said about re-releases above!
I love that typhon body....ummm rrrr uhh rlarrlo body...ya definitely an original rlarrlo designed shape. Definitely not a rip off of the typhon. Everyone is going to say, " it's a buggy body they didn't rip off anyone"... cmon.
