It's nice to see the raw unedited videos of the real struggles of doing custom work. Time, Trial, And Error and not to mention money that goes into this stuff that never gets portrayed on reality tv car shows. You make it look like some dirt cheap backyard operation but I know the reality of the cost of tooling, supplies and materials. It all adds up quickly. You got mad skills though. I enjoy watching ya work.
Thanks Chad for another great video.....Don't worry about the noise, if it bothers someone they can just hit the mute symbol. This IS better than any show on You Tube or TV
It is very cool to see / watch Chad actually do the work.... as opposed to so many others who "talk the talk" but who I never see "walk the the talk".... I'm impressed... something this old guy doesn't often say....
dont worry about the noise.. ive had my channel for 14 years and people are going to complain about something no matter what you do.. again Jolene.. excellent camera work! I wish I had a Jolene to follow me around the shop so I dont have to stop and set up camera shots all the time. I'd get way more done! thanks for doing these videos!
I have made a few comments since discovering you 2 amazing Canadian content creators. I am way beyond why the algo suggested you; I am a Canadian, grew up in a household with a spryfield accent, long gone now. Maybe that's one of the reasons I am intrigued by your Class act, a real dynamic duo without the t and a- hat off!
you can only do what you can do. no matter what you do there will be someone who thinks you need to do what you do differently than you do. keep up the good content don't cater to everyone you will never win that battle. be yourself f everyone else
Hi Chad Next time you need to take a door of, always take out the screws in the bottom fitst, then the door will hang nicely in the top bracket until you take out the last screw. Thanks for all the great videos.
You are addicting Chad. Don't worry yourself about the noise or quality of the video, it's an active SHOP and Jolene is doing a fantastic job documenting the process. You helped me to remain sane since the beginning of 2020 and am getting ready to go to my kids shop to finish body work on my 71 Super beetle. Love your work!
you are so right ! Leaving the door on especially the older cars that have so much adjustment is definitely the best way to go. When you are just doing a skin on the lower part of the door leave it on not only because you can make sure from the start that the door fits right thing to do. Even when you are doing the inner and outer part of the skin. Always make notes when you take the door off or you'll spend a lot of time getting it just right again.
Can’t say it enough, thank you Bad Chad and Jolene!! Education for free from a very experienced man!! The love of the cars and hard work to make them a work of art. THANK YOU!!
There’s so many ways to do a job nothing wrong with learning and a process that works for someone awesome job love all the videos and always learn something new
That car is such a cool ride!! One of a kind for sure and worth a pretty penny. I love it when ppl have the courage and skills to make a car the way they want it. Great work Chad and Jolene!!
I love watching you and Jolene do this the old school way. I'm 67 and have been building for 50 plus years. I never had nothing but the basic hand tools but like you I learned everything any old guy would share for free. I remember using a dark green 7-up bottle for a lens to look through while tack welding off of my "aka jumper cable" welding leads hooked to the battery on my 56 chevy with the idle set up. I do hope the young are watching because this knowledge is good honest and free! HAPPY NEW YEAR to you both! John Hermes Madison , Tn.37115
Absolutely love your terminology Chad.( cracks me up) no wonder Australians and Canadians get on so well, except for accents we talk so similar in language
I really enjoy watching your videos… But I also enjoyed the realism which included the sound of the grinding and the pounding… You don’t do bodywork in a library...To all those people that were complaining about the noise… Have you never been in a shop before.?
Class is in session again. Chad makes it look too easy. I'd be Fired! just trying to fabricate a door frame. Watching and Learning. Thanks for sharing your skills; and Thank You for the Video.
That sign needs to say “Bugatti by Chad”. Your version looks better than the original. And what kind of person watches a car fabrication artist in his shop and expects zero noise. Just seems like they are watching the wrong channel is they have an aversion to noise. Chad’s noise translates to genius in his work product. So cut your sound down but the rest of us are not bothered.
I was thinking the same thing about the noise complainers. Its pretty hard to build a car with rubber hammers and elastic band saws and vinyl grinders! Chad and Jolene should continue doing what have been doing and ignore those people. They can never please 100% of the people 100% of the time. If the noise is to much for them, there is a thing called a volume control.
While I wouldn't complain about the noise and I do realize it takes some broken eggs to make an omelet I've spent enough time doing metal and machine work that I don't miss hearing the whine of the grinder. I do appreciate the sound editing
It amazes me what you can do with your own two hands and very simple tools. The last bit of hammering was really something to watch. The results look almost like a machine did that. That sort of skill can't be taught. It's developed over time. Very impressive, Chad.
Im not into cars normaly but i cant stop watching your videos very informative i watch them every day its like watching a work of art being produced keep them going
Watch out for the glass on cars close to grinder or when welding. The sparks can etch the glass! Someone mentioned he is going to replace the glass. Just heads up for other people like me. I ruined two windows that way
I was thinking that too but knowing this isn't Chads his first rodeo I'd keep it to myself. It is a good thing to share with everyone who's watching though. Glass doesn't like sparks. Don't leave your cell phone anywhere around the sparks either. They not only have glass screens someone thought it would be a great idea to make the back glass on them now too. They are spark magnets.
@@29roadie17 I was by no means trying tell an expert how to do what does. Rather to warn all the people in class with me and you not to make the same mistake I made.
Nice going! The volume was great on this video. You don't need to change anything. Pounding over that much 18g isn't an easy thing to do either. Thanks for sharing the build with us.
Your Beautiful Lady is doing a wonderful job with the noise its a learning process what more can you ask for and mistakes are a n part of it so you can't ask for more Thank you Jolene so very much
like the way you bent the small bottom ,thats the way i do it since i dont have the tools every thing made by hand, takes longer to make but satisfaction is there, i want to try to get a 3ft. piece of railroad track for my bends, has the 90"s and the radiass oh my garage is only 10 x 20 so no room for rollers and other big tools ,just do my own stuff now a days, getting up there in age but love doing it my way have time on my hands ,great vid. chad and jolene.
Great work enjoying the fabrications and learning alot to work on my porsche rehab.....FYI,,,jolene in the videos would send you over 100k subscribers in only a few days...

Good idea, drilling the holes for alignment, a more fool proof method than scribing around the hinges. I’m doing pretty much the same job right now on a 50 Plymouth.
I think Chad did an excellent job fabricating the outer patch but I was totally disappointed with the inner door repair. The curvature was correct but the rest of it looked like a Frankenstein scab patch. I have yet to see him use any weld thru primer.
@@jontrudell7529 I understand what you are saying but I just think he could have done a better job if he fabricated the inner structure in smaller pieces instead of just welding the section on an angle & the piece he made for the corner looked horrible. This is just my opinion. You can replicate the patch by welding smaller pieces together to form a larger piece.
hi bad chad your youtube shows are amazing i watch them all the time and i have even learned how to weld much better by watching how you weld so its many many thanks to you that my welding is now amazing and brilliant i will send a video or two to you both of my car for you to see what work i've done to it hope to hear from you soon

I think Chad said it right, up to you to turn it down. He sometimes talks just at the end of the grinding, and I want to hear that.
