    Fabulous video, very professional. Are Minerva worksurfaces ok for a competent, well equipped DIYer to install?

    I am fitting a 20mm acrylic worktop this weekend and BnQ have provided number 10 biscuits. Would you recommend not using them since you haven't used them in this vid? Cheers, Ben.

      If you had been issued them it’s best to use them otherwise B&Q may not cover it with warranty as it’s not been fitted as per there specifications.
      We do have little tricks we use such as dowels or scoring the ends to help with adhesive sticking but if issued with we do use biscuits

    what's the thickest solid/compact laminate that you can get?

    Hey awesome video, thank you so much. Just a question on what tools did you use to sand and buff the edges. Were they angle grinder attachments or a specialist buffer sander? And the various sand paper grades used from start to finish will really help tooThanks in advance

    Any particular saw blade tooth count recommended to cut acrylic?

      Good enough to finish of with the recommended sanding pads and polish

      @@ryanferris7841 the cutting is the same as timber but tougher to get through so 3mm passes is what I’d recommend to help the blades life….also polishing and buffing is time consuming compared to timber

    Everyone keeps doing videos of how to do the joints but no one has done a video how to fix it to the units. Is it by using adhesive or screws and brackets?

    • @n.e.joinerybuildingandmain1953
      @n.e.joinerybuildingandmain1953  3 роки тому +1

      We use adhesive CT1 in this case👍

    • @n.e.joinerybuildingandmain1953
      @n.e.joinerybuildingandmain1953  3 роки тому +1

      You can of course use screws but this requires pre drilling and depending on spec possibly some metal plugs as you would for the sink installation

    Great vid but could have been better without circular saw over sound of commentary.

    Didn’t show the actual cutting out of hob or sink and didn’t show how to do joints with resin,pointless video 👎

      I’d of thought putting resin in was pretty self explanatory but I’ll take the tip for my next video

      One other point,cutting out sink etc was exactly the same as cutting the length as show in video 👍

      @MAD MICK if you don’t know the basics of cutting a worktop then you shouldn’t be attempting to cut acrylic worktops …..this video just shows how we do it ,it’s not a tutorial or by any means an instruction video but rather just showing what we do when we cut them
