    I started doing drugs since my teenage, got addicted to heroin. Spent my whole life fighting heroin addiction. Heroin addiction actually destroyed my life. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 6 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

      I love hearing great life changing stories like this. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.

      Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏

Why would you even have to consider hating or not hating her for one moment? Get over yourself. You aren't that important and no one cares what you think of them. No one needs to prove themselves to you.

    I respect this girl for not being afraid to come out ON THE NEWS to share her story....most people would be afraid to do that. So many dear friends of mine are bad off on heroin/opiates, and they fell into that world the same way she did. Just being young and experimenting. When you're 15 and 16, you're just having fun and you don't think about long term repercussions. Then before you know it, you are addicted. That's why it pisses me off when people label ALL addicts as scum...because they're not. A lot of them were the kids on honor roll, or sports stars at their high school and they tried it once when they were young and they are still paying for it. I just wish the "scum" stigma that people label heroin addicts with would stop. Some of the smartest and best people that I've met have struggled with addiction at one time or another.

    Here over in Canada, we just recently made heroin legal. I personally think that's a good thing. Imagine if every time April needed to get her fix, she could 1) go to a dealer and pay or 2) go to a doctor and get it for free. Chances are, she'll choose the doctor route. That means she'll be in constant contact with our medical system and constantly encouraged to receive treatment for addiction.
    Addiction needs to be treated as a health care issue, not as a criminal issue.

      This is amazingly advanced, and really shows the vast differences between countries & cultures-and I'm talking about the West. Society will only prosper if people that need to are essentially taken care of instead of being marginalized/criminilised/stigmatized. If April lived in Canada, she'd probably have more chances of turning her life around- in the meantime, she'd had the invaluable privilege of living with *dignity* given back to her.
      I do believe that heroin addicts could be assessed as fully functional & "intergrated" individuals, were addiction to be finally classified in our collective mind as the *illness* it actually is. Please do acknowledge u get to live in what seems to be the most civilized & progressive country in the West

    • @loogy123
      @loogy123 8 років тому +38

      Really not a good idea. Heroin isn't like weed at all, or most drugs. There is no "I'm full" with heroin, it's a bottomless pit where you do an unlimited amount till you croak. The clinics aren't going to keep up with the demand and then you got the potential for people robbing the clinic. People turn into fuckin zombies during withdrawal and will do whatever it takes to get high. The only thing good I can see come out of it is you demystify it as this magical drug and maybe people who have never used won't be curious to try it.

    I'm a 63 year old Heroin addict and I love every minute of it! Don't fall for this negative bilgewater. It's easily controlled, and particularly if one has pain issues, or if it simply improves ones life and well being, it can be a wonderful aid and addition in your life. Just use basic logic, and enjoy a better life.

    • @ashleymaxile8340
      @ashleymaxile8340 3 роки тому

      This is absolutely 100% incorrect. Absolutely incorrect. Heroin is NOT easily controlled and NEVER will it in any fashion make your life any better. It will only make life worse. ALWAYS in every single situation. 10 times out of 10. I don’t want anyone to think otherwise because that bullshit can easily ruin someone’s life that’s IF they don’t lose their life ,all because they read your comment and was under the wrong impression of heroin. Once again HEROIN IS NOT EASILY CONTROLLED,IT WONT EVER MAKE LIFE OR ANYTHING ELSE BETTER,and IT WILL ROB YOU OF EVERY SINGLE OUNCE OF HAPPINESS,ROB YOU OF YOUR SELF ESTEEM,MOTIVATION,DETERMINATION,and LIFE itself! ITS NOT WORTH IT! Reach out to someone and don’t be ashamed if you need help. Life is worth so much more ...choose happiness! Choose life!😄❤️🙏🏼

    I used to have a close friend in my soccer team, the most extravagant, optimistic person I had ever met in my life. Now we are ten years later and he has become a heroin addict. He's been to all kinds of rehabilitation centers and keeps relapsing. Stealing money of his own parents. He even set himself on fire
    There is no way back.
    I can see the love in the eyes of this poor girl. She's in a prison and can't get out.
    Maybe it's best for her to just die and stop the pain. Start over with a clean sheet in the next life
    To me she's like a deer that got hit by a car and keeps suffering, with no future prospects. It just needs to end, as bad as it may sound.
    She deserves better than this living hell
    Much love to this girl

    I am 70 yrs old now and back in the late 60's I messed with drugs of all kinds but not "H" or smack. Back then the guys were told that pot lead to heroin and if you smoked pot you would go to heroin. I smoked pot snorted crystal meth, coke, and did different kinds of speed and mescalin, yellow barrel sunshine, purple haze, LSD you name it but NEVER did any heroin.
    I knew if I did I would be hooked like this girl in this video. So I never did it. I had a chance to deal it but when at my suppliers home I had 2 oz in a zip lock bag that was 50% but in the back of my head a voice 3 times told me NO so after the third time I gave it back and the guy wasn't upset. I got my pills an a sole plate of hash and left. So when a guy takes a girl to such a party he is only doing that for one reason to get her hooked so he will have a fun time each time he fixes her up and gets her loaded. So look where it got her after She had her fun at the party.
    After I turned 30/31 I had a drastic change in my life and haven't never thought of doing any of that stuff ever again.

    Trust me and anyone who has been addicted to heavy drugs. The first time is the most important part of your entire life. DO NOT EVER TRY ANY DRUG AT ALL. Dont drink alcohol, dont smoke weed, dont even do coffe if you can. If you never tried drugs you dont need them and you will most likely have a way better life never touching anything that affects your brain. You think its all bullshit that you go from weed to heroin. But for someone with addictive personality its pretty much over when you start using drugs. Im soon 32 years old, I havent had a single job. I have barely any money, useless food and I cant do anything at all without my drug. Anyone that wants you to try drugs are trying to kill you.

    I am 17 years off heroin. I was on it for almost 10. Just remember that relapse start in your mind. Your will start acting like an addict before you put the needle in your arm. I relapsed after having been sober the first time almost 4 years, because i thought I had conquered addiction. At 17 years, I know I will always be vulnerable and never be completely free. I am humbled by that thought.

  • @juancpgo

    You had a lot of free pleasure, now pay that pleasure with an equal amount pain to get rid of the addiction. That's how I see this monster, is the pleasure/pain monster. If you can’t pay with pain you will pay with your life. So, get through the fucking pain for once. Seek help and stick with it. It will be horrible, but once you finish whatever program you chose, you will see it was so much worth. A little part of you will always miss the monster, but then other part of you will remind you of the fucking trouble he got you into.

      +Geni-us Aggregait lol its true people who do drugs have no excuse it was their choice no one else's.Yes they had troubles in their lives but so do so many people and most gave it way worst than them and still manage to stay away from it.If you don't do drugs in the first place you wont get addicted plain and simple its your choice.

      nikkilovesualot Saying that it's their fault, even if it is, doesn't help them. These people are locked in a dark world that you are only shoving them deeper into by saying that. They need real help and encouragement to get better, or they'll just die off one day and that's the end of it

    • @dumptuckk
      @dumptuckk 8 років тому +2

      nikkilovesualot You have to understand that blame isn't helpful in any situation. Yes, someone is always responsible, but telling a heroin addict that it's all their fault just shoves them deeper into the dark world that they are locked in. These people need real help and encouragement. Blame just feeds arguments, nothing good comes from blame.

      This is so true. You're borrowing pleasure from your future self. To even have a chance of quitting you must get through the first 7 days withdrawal. Mandatory week lock up to all heroin addicts with access to hot showers and then it's mostly mental and there's hope. Otherwise the cycle continues.

      Flying Spaghetti Monster - When did you go to school? Was it sometime in the nineteen fifties? They teach kids and teenagers all about illegal and legal drugs. They teach all about the effects on the human body from drugs and alcohol. They focus intensively just how addiction works as well as how quickly an addiction can take hold. They have programs dedicated to drug awareness taught by police officers. Schools frequently have outside groups come in and talk at assemblies. It's been that way at very least since nineteen eighty-three when they started the D.A.R.E. program. Teenagers are taught a good deal about the human body and sexuality also. That's not the issue, the main thing is the teenage mind is seriously focused on things that have little meaning and seem to have a hard time applying the knowledge they receive adequately in the absence of first hand experience. They feel invisible and infallible. We've all gone through the steps of growing up and should be very much aware of the dramatic difference in our thought process from certain stages of our lives. I think back to my thoughts and feelings when I was nineteen and am often baffled by how I was.

    So, this was uploaded in May of this year, correct? She was 16 in 2010, if my math is correct. (sarcasm.) She said, "if I knew what was gonna happen, I would have never touched it." What do you mean you didn't know what was gonna happen? Multiple celebrities, both musicians & movie actors have ended up stone cold DEAD as a direct result of the very shit you're unnecessarily pumping into your veins for absolutely no reason. By the time 2010 rolled around, the affects of heroin had been fully understood and scientifically researched, etc. A wealth of knowledge & examples had been out there at that time. Don't tell me you were so brain dead at the age of 16 that you literally had NO idea what heroin was going to do to you in the long run. You get no sympathy from me. NONE. • @PiniataMurderer
    @PiniataMurderer 9 років тому +6

    It's mostly mental. William S. Burroughs wrote in his book that physical addiction to heroin doesn't occur over night or from one usage. A person has to be using daily for months to become physically dependent or even feel withdrawal symptoms. He writes that mental addiction keeps a person using until they maybe acquire a physical dependance to heroin but other than that with will power most can break the habit. There is nothing forcing someone to use other than themselves and it is harsh of me to say but drugs are used too often as scapegoats for poor decisions. Have you ever stole a dollar from your moms purse to buy a candy bar? Most kids have but you can't blame the candy bar for poor judgement and the same can be said for drugs. Yes they are bad and lead to unhealthy life style choices but they don't make a thief, a killer, or a bad person out of anyone. These people choose to make those poor decisions and they are alone at fault. From personal experience I can say my friends and I that used in college held jobs, maintained grades, and never resorted to any other criminal activity during our time as users. We are sober now and it was as easy as setting a date and done. We stopped using. If you were to go to a rehab center and speak to an addict they would tell you they have been using for years daily before entering rehab because that's literally what it takes to become an addict.

    • @milascave2
      @milascave2 9 років тому

      +PiniataMurderer Well, William S. Buroughs did kick Junk. Many times. But he never stayed kicked for very long. He is right that physycal depencancy comes on slowly, but the rest he probably wrote during a time when he was just on booze and canabanoids before going back to his main lover, junk. He started using in this thirties and was still going strong in his eighties.. It took moving to rural Kansas to get him stable on methadone (and booze and weed.) So, take what he says about addiction with a grain of salt, and not a grain of morphine, as he did, please.

      All of this matters about how much of a habit you have. You can't say "oh well this amount will give you this much time." When I started out sniffing, a bag would have me droolin' for 4+ hours, and that's drooling. I'd feel fucked up for upwards of 8 hours. Eventually, about 2 years down the road, I'd need 6 bags to just not be sick. You don't really feel anything from the dope, just the fact that you don't feel like you have full blown flu. 10 bags would get me a nod at that point, but I'd usually just end up going to bed because I'd just finished a 16hr day of work to support my habit and pay rent.

      Yeah, several hours bud, £20 worth can do you half a day roughly but depending how strong the stuff is you may need it sooner than usual! Over here in the UK Heroin is roughly around 8 - 15% pure, where as back at the turn of the century it was double this strength-wise!,...roughly 20 - 35%! Then of course you can get "burned",..ripped off, sold a bag of chalk dust etc or Heroin thats been cut down to almost no strength what-so-ever!
      Also the longer you use the higher your tolerance goes which is why a long-term addict needs more N more to get stoned! TBH its that old manta,.."How long is a piece of string",...Hope this bit of info helps some dude?

      Hi man, thanks 4 your concern dude!!,..Much appreciated indeed man! I regret to inform i am speaking from experience dude, im in the midst of "Experience" at the mo & in a bit of a mess bud! But its up to my stoopid self to pick myself back up & get on with a more positive lifestyle bro. Its a hard habit to kick, ive been clean before, for several years too, was running almost 13 miles per day, going fishing 2-3 times a week & mountain biking etc, but after years of cleanliness i took a "wrong turn",..again. There were several factors in life that hit me hard, a few close family deaths got me really down, but this is no excuse, although every addict has a "cop-out" to why they use or relapse TBH bro!! Also being on your own at this time of the year aint too nice, so theirs another "excuse" to use, i just hope i can get back to my running & non-using lifestyle as i did feel so much more positive about daily life matey!
      Again i sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for your concern bro, the little things do matter man!! I hope you & yours have a fantastic Xmas & New Year man,...Regards from Scotland, UK! x

    I've never done drugs never will but after a few hits or whatever you call it does an addict actually enjoy the drug like they did when they first tried it? or do they just form a dependence but they don't enjoy it as much as their first time.

      +rachel osoiro That's because they enjoy it don't want to quit weed even if they say they do.... It's different with morphine type drugs because unless the person is 100% committed to quitting then they will NOT be able to cos of the withdrawals. If there is a shred of doubt then the person will fall right back into it..... They may genuinely have a desire to quit but the fear of withdrawal is usually stronger than the desire to quit.... Marijuana is different. If the person makes the decision to quit, there isn't much to stop him or her, except perhaps a little trouble falling asleep.
      Weed is far less evil than morphine. Quitting it wont make you shiver, sweat and shit out liquids for a week..... I speak from experience like you probably do, I've been addicted to weed (17-21), morphine (23-28), alcohol on and off, cigarettes (17-27) and even ecstasy when I was 20 and dexamphetamine but I'm clean now.

    Scary... it seems like no matter how well a chld is brought up (great parents, family, school, etc) if they meet friends or significant other who has drugs available and decide to give something a try, they can become addicted. IMO it's about environment... if people around you are doing any drugs, there is a greater likelihood of someone around you doing hard drugs and the ability to try that now exists.

    Wait I know this may sound stupid but I read that withdrawal from heroin lasts only about 10 days and it doesn't have any lasting damage like withdrawal from krokodil which also lasts about a month and is a lot more painful and leaves people with lasting effects. so does that mean that theoretically if a person gathered up all their will power and quit cold turkey and then kept themselves busy with something they loved other than drugs could they kick their habit?

    • @pooplord6688
      @pooplord6688 8 років тому +2

      The short answer is it depends on the individual.
      Longer answer, there is physical dependence and there is addiction. Once the acute withdrawal has passed, depending on doses used, length of use, and age of first use, many people go on to have post-acute withdrawal symptoms for months or longer. But, even once the dependence is broken, the psychological addiction remains. Addicts often don't know any other way to deal with stress or anxiety. They may be surrounded by things that will remind them of using. And, they may have been using heroin to deal with real pain, physical or emotional. That pain will come back.
      A dear friend of mine is killing herself with this stuff. Heroin is only one of her problems. It is what she uses to cope with her underlying problem, her self-hatred. However, at this point, heroin has become by far her biggest problem, if that makes any sense. She has detoxed plenty of times but she continues to relapse because she doesn't want to face the pain inside her. In her case it is not simply a matter of willpower. She has to either face her demons or spend whatever remains of her life running from them.
      Not all addicts fit this profile. However, in my experience, nearly all of the really bad addicts come from extremely dysfunctional families and/or have had major trauma in their lives.

    I watched somebody died of a heroin overdose this is how it went down my brother in law was a user he was found in the bathroom in 2006 purple in color and not breathing he didn't even get the needle out of his arm an ambulance was called and he was rushed to an emergency room where are they got him on a ventilator and started running test he was in a coma the next day all the test results came back and it showed that he had very sporadic brain activity and the family was told if he survived he would be a vegetable so my sister had to make the choice to have him removed from life support they pulled the ventilator tube and he continued to breathe on his own for about 6 hours as his lungs slowly filled with fluid and his breath got shorter and shorter it was a horrible noise almost like I cross between a snore and moaning until he took his last breath the entire family was in his room and his father was holding his hand his mother was there too

      Basic study of brain biology and neurochemistry differs from your opinion, but I see where you're coming from.
      I take it you've never abused opioids?
      You know that feeling right at the point of orgasm? Times that feeling by 20 and realize the duration of peak lasts 20-30 minutes with an overall high of 3-4 hours and you should get the point...
      It's not like quitting coffee or weed.
      Your brain's "reward pathway" that tells you to seek food, sex, rewarding careers and family is completely hijacked to the point that nothing but opioids can make you feel "rewarded". Life seems so dull, grey and lifeless without it. It's not about willpower at all... They run back to it because after that much alteration to brain chemistry it takes 1-2 years to completely return to baseline. Withdrawal may be over in 5-10 days, but PAWS can last up to a year or more.
      All the more reason to never try it, it really is THAT good...
