Just a correction there is actually 14 islands in samoa it is:
Upoli, Savai'i, Tutuila, Ta'u, Manono island, Swains island, Rose atoll, Apolima, Ofu, Namua, Fanuatapu, Nu'usafe'e island and Nu'ulopa. If u don't believe me check it on google
Actually if we break it down?
The Western islands (Samoa 🇼🇸), consists of 10 islands:
Savai’i, Upolu, Manono, Apolima, plus the uninhabited islands of… Nu’ulopa, Nu’utele, Nu’ulua, Nu’usafe’e, Namua & Fanuatapu 🇼🇸
The Eastern islands ( American Samoa 🇦🇸) consists of 7 islands:
Tutuila, Aunu’u, Ta’ū, *Ofu-Olosega (twin islands), Pola (uninhabited bird island), plus 2 Atoll islands…**Swains & Rose (a.k.a Manu), a conservation habitat for native birds/marine life & green and hawksbill Turtles. 🦅😊🇦🇸
*Ofu & Olosega used to be 2 separate islands but now has a bridge that connects the 2 small islands. 😃🌺
**Swains Atoll Island 🏝 comes under the political administration of American Samoa, but is culturally part of Tokelau 🇹🇰

It was switched into a United Nations trust territory on January 25, 1947 and achieved its independence from New Zealand on January 1, 1962.
