    ***OFFICIAL TRANSLATION***
Talofa lava everyone! Just wanted to take this time to say a huge thank you to you all for the lovely comments and for sharing your personal stories and experiences through #AloIOuFaiva. I know a lot of you have been asking for translation of the song for further understanding so here is the official translation of the verses and chorus. The rap is a work in progress :) Love and blessings to you all from Livi and I!
    Verse 1
    My son hear these words
Prepare yourself and stand firm in the choice that you have made
    This world around us
Is full of hardship and temptation
    That will weaken your resolve
You must be strong and courageous
Go forth with a joyful heart and may you prosper.
    Chorus
Embark on your journey, may it be prosperous. Holdfast and stay strong in times of trials. God will be with you along every path you travel
    Verse 2
My daughter listen closely to these words.
May you never forget the tears of your mother as you travel along the vast seas of your journey.
I stress to you, you are the protector and keeper of this family.
My daughter I bid you to do well.
Arise, fold up your mat and put your pillow aside.
Remain strong till the very end!
    ✨✊🏽🇼🇸🇦🇸❤️

Hi im not Samoan I am Puerto Rican but I grew up with a Samoan family. So yes I fully understand there language and I can reply to alot of things they say in Samoan. Every time I herd this song reminds me of my Aunty as I call her. So what I did was learn this song word per word and it took me 3 months but I did and now when I sing I sound more and more Samoan and I am very proud of saying I am Puerto Rican/ Samoan lol My next goal in life is to go to Western Samoa as soon as Corona Virus is over.

I’m not Samoan, but saw this video when I was living (over 15 years) in Samoa with my Samoan husband. The depth of emotion and feeling you poured into recording the song brought me to tears. My Samoan isn’t really good, but my husband was able to translate the message for me. Though I was raised in an entirely different culture in the US, I, too, have deep respect for my parents and grandparents. I appreciated the message in the song and just loved way you put everything into singing it.

I attended a birthday where a father and mother danced to this song for their eldest son with special needs.
I've never heard of this song before until I attended this birthday. I was an emotional wreck! The lyrics melted my heart, so deep! As a Samoan Christian wife and mother of 4 children. It had spiritual truth behind it, Gods grace towards us through His son Christ. A son plays a huge role within a home, one day he will become a leader in his own family, leading his wife and children. No matter what obstacles, pain and suffering we go through in life, we continue to persevere through it all in our FAITH in Christ alone. Thank you for writing such a deep and meaningful song. It has a profound message. 🙏🏼❤

I'm samoan and I understood every word in this song and the message behind...i gotta say, I've been looking for a song just like this for a long time because no matter what i say or do, my siblings won't understand how important our parents are....they may be strict but they do that for our safety and our life...our parents will always do what's best for us even if it means for them to be strict..they love us with all of their hearts and will ALWAYS protect us. I made my siblings listen to this song and it brought tears to their eyes even myself and our parents..I opened their eyes with the help of this beautiful song so thank you..without this song, I dont know what I would do....THANK YOU SO MUCH❤❤❤

Talofa lava Samoa and Everyone! Firstly I'd like to say that I have been very Blessed this day to hear this song and I know that many have had the opportunity in this life of having these experiences with their families and I'm so very honored that you share the beautifulness that was, is and can be for each and every one of us. To those like myself that carry a different story, just know that these are the experiences that were available to us but nothing can take from us the fundamental reason that we all exist and even though it doesn't feel like it sometimes but God Is Our Father In Heaven, He Loves us all and He is Always With us! Love you all, God Is For us and May He Always Be With you all, Always!

I don't understand why there would be any 'dislikes' to this amazing and inspirational song. I've just watched the video for the first time and listened to the lyrics and got the chills and teary eyed. This song hits home for many of us because of our relationships with our parents or grandparents or any parental figure in our lives.....the many lectures, scoldings, blessings throughout our lives they've given, we never forget. We might take detours and have gotten off course but their words stay true and strong within our minds and souls. Bravo!!!! Beautiful song done well. God bless!!

The beginning got me a bit teary, thinking of my parents and how they have such high hopes for us here in the new world. When the old man talks it hit home, reminded me of my late father giving us the pep talk before we involved ourselves in an important event. Miss you dad. I love this song.
