Chili Recipe -
Note: I made this recipe X4, but this is her recipe which serves 8.
2 TB safflower oil ( I used Olive oil)
1 1/2 lbs. 85% lean ground beef
1 yellow onion diced
1 red bell pepper diced
1 jalapeno minced
3 cloves of garlic minced
S & P
3/4 cup lager-style beer ( I used Sam Adams Octoberfest)
2 TB chili powder
1 1/2 TB packed light brown sugar
2 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. dried oregano
2 TB tomato paste
3 cups beef broth
1 (15-ounce) can black beans rinsed and drained
1 cup tomato puree
Add oil to pot, once it's hot add ground beef. Break up with a wooden spoon until cooked through. Add onion, bell pepper, jalapeno and garlic along with s & p. Cook approx 8 min or until softened.
Add the beer and simmer for about 30 seconds. Stir in the chili powder, brown sugar, cumin, oregano and tomato paste. Salt more to taste. Then add broth, beans and tomato puree. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and cook for about 2 hours.

My father had Parkinson’s disease but during the time he had it there were not many options for treatment. Now due to research and advanced science people who are taken with this disease have a better chance of a quality of life, and soon I am sure a cure. Keep hope alive and prayers for miracles. You keep getting prettier and glamorous with each vlog, and your house between the delicious smells of cooking and cozy decor is always a delight to watch. 🌟

i love that charcuterie board. The rosemary sprigs are a great idea. The cheese ball is adorable and I plan to make it. Mark needs to take elderberry syrup every day. It will reduce the duration of the sinus problem.

Bonjour Karen, this time with you it was so nice and fun. Your little Archie is so so cute. I cannot wait to see your Christmas décor. Here in Québec city, we had a really windy day last Friday and we lost all our leaves with the nice colors. I find this time really sad because we change the time on the clock, there are no flowers, grass is not as nice (of course) ; therefore, I cannot wait to finish my Christmas décor which always brings warmth and colors. Just wondering what do you think the percentage of people that decorate before Thanksgiving is? I’m struggling because I am having Thanksgiving day dinner here at my home and I kind of want the fall and Thanksgiving decorations still up but then I’m like why not get a Headstart on Christmas what are your thoughts on that?
It was so nice meeting you & your daughter, Cheryl!! You both are so beautiful & sweet! Here are my thoughts on decorating before Thanksgiving. Going through all of the effort to decorate and only get to enjoy it for a month seems like too much work for me!! I love the warmth Christmas decor brings to my home!! So why not enjoy it! On Thanksgiving day, I decorate my table with fall colors & add faux pumpkins. I feel we still enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday even when the rest of my home is decorated for Christmas!! Sooo I say Go For It!! Hugs!!!🥰

I enjoy your videos very much and look forward to them. I just recently found you. I clicked on your Italian Sausage Soup recipe and copied it down, but what are you using for all the juice? When you show your soup on the stove, it has a lot of juice in it, but the recipe doesn’t list any water (except half a can, which isn’t near enough to make that much juice) and you don’t list any broth or juice of any kind to add to the recipe.
Whether I use a cans of whole tomatoes or diced tomatoes there’s a lot of juice in those and I just pour all the juice in it! It’s easier to use the large cans of diced tomatoes and just pour the entire cans into the pot! Hope this makes sense LOL! I’m glad you found us! Welcome! Hugs! Karen
