Hi Barry, I have not been on the LT, but I can safely say my Sport has rarely been stuck. My friends always joke..."send in the Tundra" to break trail, lol. I wouldn't take it into the mountains, but for what I do, its been perfect.
You guys had a great ride thanks for taking us along. That was a nice loop. How many miles did you do. Are you happy with the tundra, ride, power, mileage. I ask as I have been checking them out and was thinking the tundra extreme but would like to hear your comments on your sled. Thanks MT
I've ridden both. The Extreme definitely has more power, but the 600 ACE is more that enough engine for what I do. Mileage this day was only about 30 miles, and the 600 ACE sips the fuel, so only one tick off from full.
Thanks for the info. I've been looking at the tundra LT,for the longer and wider track and thought the 600 HO etec would give you that extra power for deep snow, only issue I see with the extreme is the 2.5 lug track. Can I ask what kind of speed you get from your sled. Thanks MT
I have the Tundra Sport with the 137x16x1.25 Cobra track. It works pretty good with the 60hp 4-stroker. On a hard packed trail I can get it up to 70 mph, but wide open on a lake with 8-12" of fresh powder it will only do about 55 mph. You could always get the dealer to trade out the track for something with less lug? They should credit any difference?
Mike you didn't have any issues in that snow but the guy you were with did, are the machines similar power wise and track. If so the Tundra is impressive.
He was on a Arctic Cat ZR 800, same length track as mine 137". The Tundra performed like a champ in that waist deep snow. I have found that keeping the suspension pre-loaded at "3" (it adjusts from 1-5) gives it the best ride and keeps the track from "trenching" in the deep stuff. I have only been stuck once in 1000 km's now, and that was when I was playing around with the suspension fully pre-loaded at "5".
Nice to see you having fun on your tundra... They are amazing machines
Thanks for sharing a nice ride! Really amazing machines and a sweet drive i deep snow!
Hi Mike what are your thoughts on the sport vs the lt tundra

That’s good speed in both circumstances. Yeah that’s what I was thinking I would prolly do swap out tracks. Again thanks for the info.
