  • One of the best parts about September in British Columbia is slamming Pink Salmon in your swim shorts on the Squamish River. September 2021 was no disappointment!!
    We put on a clinic down at the river. The action on the fly rod was non-stop and my arms were begging for mercy by the end of the session.
    The Squamish, Fraser and Chilliwack/Vedder rivers in BC typically have killer Pink Salmon runs. Be sure to check the regulations and get pumped for round 2 in Summer 2023!!!!
    Thanks for watching!

    Sick! Been watching all of your ski vids before the season starts to hype myself up. Only just came across these fishing videos and would love to hear and see your advice and rod setup to catching salmon in Squamish in a youtube video.

      Stoked you like the fishing content too. I've always wanted to make more in depth fishing and summer stuff but it never really catches wind with the algorithm. That would be a fun idea for the fall!

      I think the video style you roll with in your ski videos might work out well since that's what I find to be unique and stands out for me to look forward to your videos every time. Personally would love see some beginner advice, locations (for different species), what to look for while fishing, nuances of fishing, etiquette, etc...@@riseandalpine

    Wow great stuff looking to bring my family out this year. Is this the main river or cheakamus?

    • @riseandalpine
      @riseandalpine  Рік тому

      Hey JS Productions!
      Cheakamus is not usually open for pinks. The main Squamish river is the best spot to target them!
      Your family is going to have a blast :)

      @@riseandalpine thanks man! Have you had luck with any other species in the main river? Were still trying to catch our first :)

      @@MordDorr It all depends on the time of the year mid/late August to usually mid September is ideal for pinks and sometimes the occasional Spring salmon. By October the Coho start moving in. The vedder river in Chilliwack is also an epic option for all species.

      @@riseandalpine would we be wasting time if we're looking for trout?
