I wish not every travel guide would reduce Hamburg to the habour, Elphi and Reeperbahn. In summer grab a canoe and explore the city districs Winterhude and Uhlenhorst from the canals (like in Amsterdam, Utrecht or Gent). Or rent a bike and discover the "Schanze" or Eppendorf and Eimsbüttel. Visit Ohlsdorf Europes largest and most beautiful cemetry. Do you stay longer? Then take the ferry (its part of the public transportation system) from Landungsbrücken to Övelgönne. In summer you will find there beach clubs, live music and bars. Or you just buy a beer or wine and sitting in the sand watching the huge ships go by.

I absolutely agree with you. I lived many years in hamburg, 10 of them in the dead center almost facing the St. Michaelis church and now for 4 years in Sasel. How many times have I walked from City Nord to my former home, trying every optional way I could. I walked for hundreds and thousands kilometers off the tracks. Hamburg has a lot of beauty everywhere from Eidelstedt to Billstedt, from Langenhorn to Harburg. Still I have to point out 2 regions where I think Hamburg is the most beautiful. First is of corse the quiet well known Falkenstein riverside west of Blankenese. The other one might be the entire St. Jacobus trail from Klein Borstel northwards (part of the Via Baltica), also known as Alster trail. The further you go north the trail just keeps on getting more magical through its terminal moraine landscape.

@@LuriTV If you know Harburg, Sasel and Billstedt, you are officially a local! :)

I totally agree that there is more to explore, but I have tried that make that in the past on several video’s and it is not working on UA-cam. I show the main attractions in 2-3 days when you visit a city. Which is already a hard competition with people who make videos with AI and who never been there. Be happy with at least someone who soak in the local culture and create a video with this quality
