I grew up in Lee Center. Even in the late 1960s, early 70s we didn’t have a store. We did have 2 bars (Lee Center Inn & American Legion). Just outside of town we had another bar/restaurant, Yaworski’s. The nearest stores were in West Lee and Stokes. The nearest grocery store was P&C on Rte26 half way to Rome from Stokes. All gone or changed now. I still make a point to drive through when I visit family in the area annually. Thank you for making the video. It brought back some good memories.
Love your history vids, really makes a consise history, but the whole "boo TikTok, back in the day there were no electronics, people actually talked to each other" shtick is getting old real quick and adds little to nothing to the vid's content. Same with your reliance on AI pics :/
@BackyardRevivals aw jeez, I'm sorry, I figured the wealth of primary sources on the topic (photos from the time period, illustrations, newspapers, etc) were easy enough to use but I guess you're right, how dare I expect someone already doing the research anyways to take the time to not use crappy AI slop
You are so right; we need to embrace simplicity again and enjoy life before it completely passes us by. ❤

@@mkaido3224 They add a lil life to the otherwise boring still images. Most people these days don't like to see still images.
@@BackyardRevivals AI is the absence of life. It's an empty imitation, and they are devoid of motion, movement, and purpose.
