Believe it or not, Maxima's most treasured possession is his sideburns and he takes good care of them, also both him and K' ocassionally have a smoke together.
Air vapor canon is actually pretty good. It’s a double overhead head and considering he has a command grab and a low combo starter it means you’ll definitely catch someone with this. Most importantly it stalls all momentum. Maxima’s speed makes him very predictable but this lets him bait an anti air very reliably.
Appreciate comments like this. You can probably tell, but I'm not exactly that well-versed in how the entire cast works so stuff like this is not only good for my knowledge of the character but also anyone else reading this comment that's trying to learn a character.
I actually like playing Maxima on anchor myself. His EX moves turn some mediocre specials into genuinely great ones, especially Air Vapor Cannon and the anti-air grab. On top of that, armoring through something with his Far C or Far D and quick max cancelling is incredibly rewarding
🤣 Stark was about to drop in and show Maxima how to beam lol! Great tutorials, mate! It looks like KOF is getting the recognition it deserves as a pillar within the fighter game genre!
Thanks for the guide. Watched a different guide, but kept losing w/him. I drop stuff after wallbounce, so no microwalk/run is good. Maybe I can still main him. Good vid.
Hey uh, you're doing great work and I really appreciate these guides. A lot of stuff I've seen are just combo videos, and nobody goes into how you actually play these guys. If you could however, can you do me a favor? Can you go into Antonov some time in the future? I mean, I get how his combo structure works. He doesn't get anywhere without meter, gets that big damage by landing his close normals. However, I'm having trouble getting my opponent to respect my close normals. Antonov wants to be up close, but up close all the normals that lead to his big damage are slower than most other characters normals, so I'm having trouble getting my opponent to respect them and allowing me to hit them. Even then, I figure it must be the case where he has to punish the opponent, however almost everything I've found is either fast enough to where they can block it or it creates enough space to where he doesn't have enough room. So far, it seems like he happens to get big damage, but only in training mode rather than an actual match, in my experience. Once again, thank you for your efforts, and I really hope you have a good day!
Hey man, for me as a fighting game enthusiast but KOF newbie your guides are a great starting point. Good structure, good length and they give a me an idea of what a character is all about. Everything I want in a guide. Now, could you kindly also call SNK for me and tell them to fix the matchmaking issues on PC so that I can put everything into action? I would truly appreciate that. I am joking of course. Thanks for the brilliant guides!
I miss his Rekkas and the old supers, Bunker Buster & Maxima Revenger looks much more painful than the current supers and much more satisfying to pull off

Finally a channel who does structured character guides. Keep it up! A Yuri guide in the near time would be great.

those sideburns hit harder than a raw lvl 3
Air Vapor cannon can be tiger knee'd for a fairly quick (but super unsafe) overhead.
Yo dude, your videos are very well put together. keep it up.

Thank you for watching! And don't worry, I'll get to Antonov and the rest of the KOFXV characters soon enough.
