Best build I’ve seen on the channel so far, but I am biased. I ride a ‘97 WR250z, which is based on the ‘94 YZ. Favorite bike I’ve ever owned. It screams.
Praying 🙏 for good weather for Foxhill bank holiday weekend Doc, and a massive attendance, especially considering how much Matterly Basin are charging this year for MXoN.....
When you talk about the frames and how much work there is before the build, is that just abuse or poor engineering design of the time? Really enjoying everything you guys do.
Hey doc I have the same set of forks on my ktm but have a very hard time finding the parts to service them just curious how you get yours or want you do.
@Andy-co6pn was it though? Wasn't the point of racing a 500 as much about taming the insane power as it was being fastest on track? You had to be fit and fast. That how I remember the glory 500 days of Thorpe and all the other greats.
Yeah the HP was too much with the old technology of power delivery/brakes/suspension, so riders were faster on 250s. With todays technology a 500 2t would be incredible. Imagine a modern yz or sx 500. Like yzilla
I rebuilt a 95 yz250 and when I got it, it had a ti subframe! Could not believe it. Still running it today. Love the 93-95 yz250's.
Very nice!
That's the best looking YZ I've ever seen and obviously the most trick. Another future museum piece.🤘
It’s getting ridden first!
Best build yet in my humble opinion! Well done 👍
Glad you like it!
Attention to detail is the answer has you well know! Excellent work 👍
Another fantastic build Rob.
I know this is a retro look but I've always loved the way the English do their graphic packages
It’s true!
Beautiful machines.
Congrats.
Thank you very much!
I'm with Wob, white Chesterfield graphics are better than black but the bikes are works of art.
Love the white ones!
Just amazing bike and fascinating story about carb jetting. Cheers 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it

They rip!!!
As always I enjoy the content. It will be great to see the bikes in action next week 👍🏼
Can't wait!
Nice one do love. 250
Thanks so much

I hope so too!

I saw a ti subframe that still had the tag on it on eBay last year
I better keep my eyes peeled!
Good job 👍
Pas de pièces YRRD sur votre moto ?
Merci!
Does the 38mm Keihin air striker carb work well on those 93-95 YZs?
I have a 97 WR (same as 94 YZ) and it’s the best bolt on mod I’ve ever done to any 2 stroke.

We do it in house and drop us a message for servicing

Finally some truth about 500s . Nice build DW
Hahaha I know right!

@ohboy2118 Thorpe and co. rode full RSC/HRC bikes that were nothing like the wet noodle framed poorly handling beasts available to mere mortals.
I found one when I was about 15 my dad wouldn’t let me have it said they’re horrible so got me a CR 250. To this day I’ve never ridden one
