    I can’t stress how important your videos are. I bought your exact set up from your previous videos like this because you show how to do corners in great detail. Before I do any taping, I always watch your videos as a refresher course. You’ve made my taping 100% better. Thanks bud!

    +I've found the best thing to do with those narrow corners, such as where the closest door opening is, is install wider strips of drywall, such as 5 or 6", and cut them off after you've taped, finished and sanded.

      Thank you. The tube is probably the most versatile taping tool there is, so many attachments and so easy to clean. I appreciate your feedback

    bought these tools. got a 4 roller applicator that puts mud both way's. you would make me look like a fool. lol. had mud too thin and went everywhere. came out with a good product in the end for a day. but not much progress. learned its easier for me to push the applicator and thicken the mud some. people watching have no idea the skills earned until you are in the seat. thank you my friend

    I was having problems getting muds into the tube and because of that, i never used the compound tool since i bought it (6 years), so thanks for answering that question. 👍

    Nice tips , i'm a painter but occasionally have to do some to some drywall taping (we call it dry lining in the uk) those tools looked really helpful.

    The angles are all in need of more mud over the tape. If you used a Bazooka , which puts more mud on , you would have angles that had the proper coverage over tape

    Hi. How far can the 42" tube go until it needs refilled? I'm looking at a 32" and a 42" just not sure which one would better suit my needs. thanks and keep the videos coming!

    Do you use the direct flusher with wheels to finish the corners ?

  • @aaronmeyer6244
    @aaronmeyer6244 9 місяців тому +1

    Love seeing all paper man good work. Try a glazer instead of the angle head leaves more mud on the tape, you can still use the angle head for finishing. Also the new bazookas are quick clean ones, takes me 10 mins tops with a garden hose, one room ya just tape by hand or whatever, like the inside mud aplicator your useing going to pick one up for the tube. Nice seeing other quality finishers around not those fiber taper"pros"

      Thanks. I've had some challenges with the Glazers, could be the brand I was using. I used Columbia but they left a ridge. I tried Can-Am, a little better. Might try Tape-tech next. I ran a bazooka for a few years, but my problem is the majority of the work that comes my way is difficult houses, with scaffolding. If all I did was 8-9' lid easy residential, like condo units, I'd have kept with the bazooka. Yeah fiber tape is for amateurs, or small repairs with hotmud.

      @aaronmeyer6244 9 місяців тому

      @@Interior_Works I admit I have a roll in my crate for repairs, I think it works well there. With the glazers I know it sucks but sometimes they need to be played with, bent by hand or take that spring thing off . Have you tried the small tubes for the auto tapers, not sure what brand you have but many you only have to buy the tube and you existing head fits, I am sure you know all this already.
      I love compound tubes too, there is a place for everything. Can I convince you in learning hawk and trowel though 😂

    • @MV-wb2cz
      @MV-wb2cz 4 місяці тому

      @@aaronmeyer6244 hawk and trowel! i do want to try a smaller trowel to replace my 4" knife when hand taping flats, it's so much faster to smear on mud with a trowel than a knife.

    • @aaronmeyer6244
      @aaronmeyer6244 4 місяці тому +1

      Hawk and trowel all the way man. You can plow the mud in way faster I don’t care what and knife guy says. Learn the right way regardless of the leaning curve

    Oh and I forgot to mention I totally agree with you I have a bazooka my own and I never use it anymore I tend to use my super taper and do more than anything the clean-up on some job sites are a pain in the butt with no water no eyedro how can you do anyting😎👍🇨🇦👑

    • @DCtaping

      And tube more * lol

    • @Interior_Works
      @Interior_Works  Рік тому +1

      I have a bazooka too, but I only use it on big commercial jobs, especially on long runs of stand up sheets, it really shines there, fastest way. But on modern houses, with scaffolding, tight hallways, little bedrooms, tons of closets, I think for myself I'm faster with the super taper on flats/butts, and tube on corners.

    • @DCtaping
      @DCtaping Рік тому +1

      @@Interior_Works I totally agree but I still use the super taper for interior corners on the horizontal angles up top with a 3-inch flusher it does a really good job and clean three ways I don't even have to pick the three ways but these stand-up angles I love using the tube and a two and a half inch flusher because I don't have a small angle head and the 3-inch angle head requires me to roll the angle which is another step but I know how good the angle had works it is a beautiful thing keep up with the great videos my friend

  • @ronolsthoorn9234
    @ronolsthoorn9234 Рік тому

    Do you need to do a second coat of mud after you've gone over with the flusher?

    • @Interior_Works
      @Interior_Works  Рік тому

      Yes, most finishers imbed the tape with a 2.5" or 3" flusher, then use a 3" or 3.5" to put the second coat on. The process is basically the same, tube the mud into the corners with the 90° applicator, then pass the flusher over, then fix up the 3-way junctions with a Pan and knife
