This is a truly stellar summit. Inspired throughout from beginning to end. This is what it's all about. Age has no bearing on the power of spirit and ideas that are born out of love and respect for the music and each other. Self evident here. Absolutely love this. Thank you gentlemen. This is one for the ages. Thank you one and all. Phil you bring out the best in everyone. That's what made you a powerful leader AND soloist. Love eternally to all these players. God takes pleasure in the work of our hands and so do we.

I met Phil in 2005 and he was the nicest guy. One of my sax heroes for sure

⚠️ After this incredible solo from Eli Degibri, the guys had to think hard about what real creativity is. It was good to see Phil Woods having to fit some modern, outside solo on the transition to his solo. That was really funny 🤣😜🤣

I like the way Phil looks at his pupil with admiration. It takes a little time for Phil to warm up, but once he his warm, he gets
fabulous as usual. He even manages to quote Pent-Up House, Sonny Rollins' piece, and ad length...

Great playing. The rhythm section is good. Good time. But is not swinging because the bass is too loud, thus forcing the drummer to play so hard that he cannot swing. Phil plays softer and to their credit the rhythm section comes down and then swings. especially when the drummer goes to brushes on the the piano solo on the Charlie Parker blues.
