Nope.
Luigi's stories were both the best and worst part of the game. On one hand, I loved hearing them, but on the other they made me wish for a spinoff game going into further detail about them that never came.

Sticker Star wasn't that bad. Sure its bad for Paper Mario standards, but its pretty good for what it is.
It's clear that a lot of love went into this to make all the details as close to the game as humanly possible. The art style, character designs, and backgrounds are all spot-fuckin'-on and it's really impressive to see that amount of effort be put into something like this. Some people might think you're making fun of the game because you don't like it, but I can tell that's not the case - everyone who worked on this loves Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door. :) Great work!

Looks much better than the first one. My only complaint is that Mario and Luigi's left arms are too low and the hands on their left arms are a bit small compared to their right ones. Other than that, great job! Keep up the good work.

My childhood in a nutshell.
I think it's fair to say Paper Mario Color Splash didn't work out so well. The story was low brow, the Paper asthetic was used way too heavily, the combat was downright attrocious (but better than Sticker Star's), and the characters were barely interesting, and basically copy-pasted from each other. I'm really hoping the next game for the Switch (if there is one, as I am not aware of how well Color Splash sold) fixes things. And I'm not saying we should get a copy and paste of Thousand Year Door (although a remake or Virtual Console release would be cool). I had an idea for a similar, yet very different style of gameplay. The partner and badge systems would return, but the layouts of battles would be a bit more interesting. Basically, every turn, you have the opportunity to move Mario (or your partner if it's their turn) around a battlefield about the size of the ones in color splash where your enemies are placed. Then when you're ready to attack, you press the A button to bring up your attack menu and choose a stomp, hammer, badge move, partner move, item, world ability (you know, your Crystal Star and Star Sprite kinda thing), or tactic (run, appeal, defend, skip turn). Positioning yourself would be important because not only do your opponents move around, but the environment you battle in can have obstacles, and elements to interact with. Not to mention some enemies could have special effects when hit (like Koopa's shells being tossed around), that could lead to either hitting another enemy, or getting yourself hurt. Enemies would also be able to use the evironment to their advantage, throwing objects or their allies at you, using a move that could put Mario in a dangerous place (like spikes, water, or lava), or even transforming parts of the terrain. Mario would also be able to use his partner's abilities in battle, at the cost of both their turns. They could be used to get into a patch of water where the enemy can't reach you (although your attacks would be limited there), disappear, ect. The star points you earned would be based off of what type of enemy you face, in combination with how efficiently you defeated them (how much damage you take, how many turns it takes to beat them, ect). Leveling up, as always, would allow you to either increase Mario's HP, FP, or BP. And to upgrade partners, rather than using a block or a collectable, upgrading would be done through sidequests that can be accessed at certain parts of the game. This would allow your partner's character to develop more than any previous entry in the series. As for bosses, they would be given a larger battlefield to work with as they would be much larger, and would have more dangerous and unique battlefield hazards. Their HP would be around that of the TTYD bosses, with similar damage output. And finally, the story and characters. Bowser should not be the main villain. Having Bowser as a comedic side villain or anti-hero works best for his character in the RPGs. Luigi should have a more significant role, either as a post-chapter story, or as a late-game partner. Peach should not be captured, but rather be a distant ally, a direct ally (perhaps acting as a world ability), or another unique usage of her character. Kammy and Toadsworth NEED to return. The villain should definitely be threatening, but perhaps somewhat humorous as well. The partners should all be new characters (possibly excluding Luigi). A few ideas I had were a scholarly Toad who joins you at the beginning of the game and acts as your tutorial character and tattle user, a roller skating female hammer bro (or sis I guess), a land-walking Blooper disguised as one of those ninja enemies from Mario 2, a large fat orange fire breathing Yoshi with spines on it's head and tail, an ice blob (like a fire blob enemy but with ice), a green thief enemy (yknow, the ones you find in Paper Mario 64) that acts and dresses like Robin Hood, one of those boxing ghosts from New Super Mario Bros U that acts like Rocky, Karate Kid, or any other cliche fighting dude underdog story, ect. The possibilities are endless. The worlds could coralate too, with catacombs, a forest of thiefs, an ocean conquered by ninja pirates, a fire and ice kingdom at war, a casino led by King Boo, ect ect ect. And finally, the story should have high stakes and a dark tone, but be mostly humorous. Similar to TTYD or Super Paper Mario. So, any thoughts?
I really like your ideas on an upgraded version of Paper Mario. I really hope they do make a new one for the Switch (would also be excited for Paper Mario 64 or TTYD remake too though) I am really intrigued by the casino led by King Boo, I think that would be a really cool dungeon to explore. Also, I think one of the little bug guys (from Flurry's level in TTYD, Sorry cant't remember their names) would be an intriguing ally to have in a new PM game. I also want to have a storyline where you can play the whole game from Luigi or another character's perspective. Like, that was such a cool feature in TTYD and I think it'd be amazing for there to be an option for that after you beat the game or even just starting out
