Alright so since I didn’t have time to discuss this in the video posted a couple days ago, I figured I would do a quick shorter video to discuss it. I also get into some thoughts on the Secret Invasion finale later in the video during Super Thanks - so as always you should watch til the end. Anyways hope you guys like it! Oh & here’s some shameless linking, but if you missed the last video on Deadpool 3/Loki S2/Secret Wars, then here’s the link to check it out: ua-cam.com/video/fzKGPp1Tgfk/v-deo.html
Hey Culty! Hope you’re doing well. I was wondering if you could make an in-depth video explaining how the MCU Multiverse works? I think there is a lot of confusion about how it works.
i love all of the projects simply for the fun its been. I feel like Feige just said test out all these things right now, and when we get cooking it will be worth all the wait.
WE NEED A "MR. FIX-IT" MOVIE! The Grey Hulk, at night, in a suit. It fits perfectly into the blip years. Trying to fix the deal with Green Hulk's arm, Banner creates the Grey Hulk. He thinks he heals and cures himself. Except, unknowingly at night, he turns into JOE FIX-IT. Who leaves Banner cryptic messages on the mirror. It's even a story Disney execs want. Have him fight whomever while having to deal with his "mental health." To win, he must meld Banner, Green Hulk and Grey Hulk into the Hulk he is now. It writes itself! GIVE US "MR. FIX-IT!" Pass it on, please and thank you.
6:24 Simu Liu should’ve been The Multiverse Phases equivalent to Iron Man given his movie was by far the most sixes new venture Marvel produced post Endgame. Crazy that they haven’t had him show up anywhere else since.
When and how do you think we’ll see Secret Invasion paying off? I was thinking about the Siege being adapted, and that’s what i thought when i saw Wakanda Forever, just that Wakanda would take New Asgard's place in the story. After Secret Invasion, I’m thinking that may still happen with New Asgard, so how do you think this is all gonna pay off?
Thanks, Tay! Do you think that Marvel Studios was planning on Rhodey being a Skrull when they made Infinity War/ Endgame, or was this decided later in pre-production for Secret Invasion? I'm rewatching every scene with Rhodey post-Civil War for clues.
I get bringing in Jackmann’s Wolverine for Deadpool 3 and maybe the multiverse thing, but as much as we all love Jackman, he cannot play the character another 10 years.. it doesn’t make sense for the big picture at all. They should build up a whole new set of actors playing X-Men and other Marvel characters.
The TL:DR of what I wrote below is that I was against the notion of Hugh Jackman's Deadpool3 Wolverine being the main 616 Wolverine until I realized that Marvel can use the character to make Laura Kinney aka X23 as the main 616 MCU Wolverine through cloning Deadpool 3 Logan. Hugh Jackman's DP3 Logan can be a mentor to the MCU 616 X23 similar to how Peter B. Parker is the mentor figure to Miles Morales in the Spiderverse films. While I think the notion of Hugh Jackman being in the definitive 616 version of Wolverine by means of being dropped there by the TVA is neat, I feel that Jackman is too old to play the character for another decade. In addition, he is playing a variant of the Fox timeline Wolverine, which means that while there may be some room for Jackman to explore that version of the character in terms of acting, he may not feel like wanting to do since he has already done so for the past 20 years with 2 or 3 other different versions of Wolverines that he played - the Wolverines from the first Fox movies timeline, the Rirst Class timeline, and the Old Man Logan timeline. To clarify, an actor usually stays on to play a character they have played for years because they love playing the character and/or they feel that they can explore the character through acting - taking the character to different story situations in order to play thr character in new directions through acting. I feel that such a thing might have been a reason why actor Matt Ryan played another character after his Arrowverse Constantine died in Legends of Tomorrow. He probably explored the Arrowverse version of Constantine enough to the point where he doesn't know which direction he can take the character in terms of acting. Granted, he is not only the best version of Constantine, he is still continuing to play the character in different DC properties. As such, I would like to see Ryan as Constantine in James Gunn's version of the DCEU. However, shifting back to Hugh Jackman, I am not sure how he can reinvent the character to his satisfaction especially when he tried to retire the Wolverine role a few times before. Unlike Matt Ryan who is 42 years old, Hugh Jackman is 54. Just that I feel that a younger actor who may want to play his interpretation of Wolverine would be better for the 616 MCU timeline. That is not to say there can't be two Wolverines in the 616 universe. They can have the older one be the mentor of the younger one. Therefore, when Secret Wars or the Kang Dynasty hits, Jackman's Wolverine can die whereas the younger version will take the mabtle. Now that I think about it, Marvel can skip the younger Logan altogether and have X23 be the main Wolverine in the MCU. What I mean is that through time-jumping, the MCU 616 version of the government had gotten ahold of Deadpool 3 Wolverine's DNA in the past to start and use for the Weapon X program. That way, it can explain how mutants sich as Wolverine didn't show up until recently - X23 could a clone of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine that have been born during the 80s or 90s and free from the program recently. Damnit, I feel like I am contradicting myself the more I write this long-ass post. LOL
I like that idea of time jumps happening all over the place and them instering Wolvie post blip is a great way of including him in next Avengers film. Cheers for answering my last ST question👊🏾. I also agree that it's mainly the D+ content bringing it down 😮💨
I think the whole naming the MCU 616 is trash and makes no sense. Universe 838 actually calls the universe 616 because they are further along in charting the multiverse. But why would they name their universe 838? In their own chart of the multiverse they should be #1. And why is our earth numbered before theirs by them? It makes no sense. Should've just kept it earth 1999 or w/e
With all of this hopping around in multiverses I don’t see how - why they could leave X23 out of it. She carried Logan equally with Hugh Jackman. Don’t royally fuck it by leaving her out.
Funny you mentioned the She-Hulk mentions. Because I was just thinking Kingpin would be a great villain to fight Deadpool and Wolverine. Just three people who won't die. It's be hilarious.
What up what up, Tay! I’ve been a fan since you first started. I’m certain that I’m not alone when I say you’re the best MCU theorist out there by a mile! I know you’re also a fan of Mastertainment…have YOU ever given a shot at discovering the final GOTG Vol. 1 Easter Egg? Thanks for all that you do!
Well duh! Of course they’d do this. The most popular X-man, an amazingly powerful actor in the role who is ALSO a comics fan… Did you see the look on his face for the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman video on Deadpool 3? He was having too much damned fun to not want to come back, he’s an incredibly great box office draw, and Marvel can see a win-win situation here. Heck, even Thanos would approve!
I heard Daredevil Born Again is gonna be rated TV MA and its 18 episodes so thats probably what it is. Its even been rumored or confirmed that Muce will be the villain of the first part of that show or whatever that means.
Shut Up Don't Complain Because I Love That Gia Got the Powers of The Avengers She is a God Now, She has the Strength of the Hulk The Powers of Captain Marvel and Mantis among Others. I can't wait for 2027 any time longer
Knowing the MCU these days, it'll get delayed yet another year

Ha "short" is relative I guess
Id Rather the videos be long 🤷♂️🤷♂️

I agree. Although I think the best possible replacement actor for wolverine has already been cast as venom which is Tom Hardy. 😕
