@@MotionCC actually it was his hips. he had a degenerative disease in his hips and they started to give. and so much of his mechanics is based on his hips and driving off that it really just fucked up his whole pitch
Mine too! He started the Giants winning ways. He's the main piece in my opinion. Best of all he was a Dodger killer. Don't get me wrong, they had Pablo, Buster, Cain, MadBum, etc. They should've beaten the Cardinals in the playoffs to play the Braves in the WS and they should've beaten the Angels w/Barry. They had some great players but couldn't win the BIG 1. I couldn't believe the Giants finally WON ONE in 2010, and to win 2 more. UNBELIEVABLE! I started liking the San Francisco Giants since 1970. When Charlie Fox was the manager. Before Tim, Bobby Bonds was my favorite San Francisco Giant.
Even up to 2014, when he was burning out, he still kept his career relevant by throwing 2 no-hitters within a year. But Game 1 NLDS was my favorite performance of him.
I was there 2010 NLDS game 1, just the absolute masterclass of pitching domination. 14 K CGS like it was nothing to him. He didn't age quickly, Bochy burned his arm tf out by letting him go >110 pitch count almost every single game. In his prime he had all the vets trying to stop mid swing at SCUDS five feet in front of the plate. Just that circle changeup or his 12-6 curve, after setting the batter's timing with his 4 seam, always left the batter so far off the mark. Those were just the best pitch sequences I've ever seen.
Although I am a Dodgers fan, Lincecum will always be my favorite pitcher and is the reason I started playing and watching Baseball. It was a blessing that I was able to watch him play live :D
So im a tennis coach and for years ive been using the same anology of your body is handle/driving force behind the ball and the arm is the loose relaxed whip. I feel so validated right now. imma show this to all my kids. maybe they will listen. 🤣
Loved watching him. Supernova! Not one to be talking mechanics though. Quite unorthodox and a freak of nature at that. Would not have the young ones use him as a model for solid mechanics on the bump.
Not the best explainer of his learned mechanics, but his dads method had a great result behind it. Sucks he wasnt super healthy long term. Id like to see those mechanics in a few more samples. See if it was unfortunate or dangerously good.
Actually Mr. Jonny Queto Has power the same way in leg 🦵 swing yet 💫⚾️💨 more level than Mr. Tim for context his is more of a angle 📐 🦵 leg release. Also Mr. Jonny Queto uses the shimmy . Including the fast 💨 unexpected fast pitch. Wow amazing Ty for sharing. I’m a baseball fan also once apon a time I too pitched no a hitter game with Mr. Tim’s style. Years later I could compare this style It does work good. Yet It’s the 1’st time I’ve seen the shimmy pitch 🤷♂️😂👍 Aslo something interesting how Mr. Nolan Ryan reached record strike outs I believe if you notice he messed with the batters reflexes before he even threw the ball by unexpected speed. 108-110 miles per hour I had a 80 mph knuckle ball. An a range of a variety pitches of speeds 85-90’s . Anyway Baseball is awesome 😎 From Buddy it’s my nickname.
You mean don't throw like him to win two Cy Young awards, 3 NL strikeout season wins, 110 career wins, 4x All Star appearances, 3 World Series rings and a Golden Spikes award?
Will always be hands down my favorite pitcher of all time.
Lincecum is the man! Loved watching him play
What happened to him?
@@doritos6893 I think his arm just gave up on him aka dead arm

@@Autistic_Tarkov_Guyyeah that would make sense, I don’t know where I got dead arm from
@@Autistic_Tarkov_Guy do you think that is because he had to use his hips more to generate power since he was undersized?
Still my fav pitcher til this day !

Aged very quickly.

Tim will Always Be My Guy in Baseball! 55 4 Ever!🔥✨
Only 5'11 and generated so much power.
Best pitcher today is Shota Imanaga who is 5'10" but doesn't throw fast.
Tim Lincecum my All Time favorite pitcher/player!
Love this kid Tim he’s a beautiful freak !
Holy shit he sounds awfully like Kyle shanahan. Not only the tone but also the cadence.

A Knuckleball with Tim Lincecum motion, I wonder how does that look like. 😲😲😲
Harold Reynolds was NOT needed for this. He slowed down and was an unnecessary distraction to an otherwise very informative and interesting segment.
