@neilfpv definitely atleast do the floaty. Then you have a chance of recovering it atleast. Saltwater will kill electronics without waterproofing but atleast you'd get your frame, motors, and gopro back.

I would. Definitely recommend waterproofing too but atleast a floaty will help you get your quad back. Enjoy your trip!
