Where I get my beads: Michaels or wholesalers on amazon, eBay, etc. Some sellers do sell “enhanced crystals” that are dyed, you may want to pay attention to this before you purchase. @@amazingmariah5683 You can actually get them on amazon! I just ordered some and I think they were like $15. Just search “Natural Chip Stone Beads” and it should come up!!
If you don’t have money to get a ring mandolin then you can shape it on a long skinny candle for big fingers a jar of nail polish for medium fingers and a sharpie or thin expo marker for small fingers
Great tutorial!! You make it look so easy! Thank you so much for sharing! I'm going to try n make one now & if I can figure out how to post on here to show you, I will!!
really loved how cute this ring was! does anyone know if 24 gauge is better than 22 gauge? i want a sturdy but flexible wire, but i’m not sure which ones better
my rings always bend and arent perfect circles and it really bothers me :( When I’m looping the wire round and round my fingers screw up the perfect circle. any tips?
Try using a round marker instead and make sure that you’re bending in the direction of the original wire loop! You’re essentially shrinking the original loop to smaller loops. Don’t force the wire to bend, just guide it gently with your fingers. Hope this helps! ❤️🥰
I’d say wire rings are more comfortable than the traditional bands because of how thin it is. But the down side is that it can’t be tossed around as it can break easier than regular metal bands.
If I want to make these with 925 silver wire, do you have a specific brand/product you recommend? Amazon has “dead soft” and “half hard” and idk what that means 😅
Half hard is better for more sturdy rings but it might be harder for you to wrap the wire. Dead soft is a bit too soft and can lose its round shape if you wear it too much, but it can still work and is easier to wrap. I would go with half hard or soft depending on how confident you are in your skills :) Hope this helps.
Yes! Getting “dead soft” wires to practice with can help. You can also leave a longer piece of wire, which will make it easier to wrap. But most importantly it’s just practice :)
It depends on what type of wire you use! Copper wires turn your finger green because of a natural chemical reaction to the oils on skin. But sterling silver or gold wires don’t :)
I use silver plated wire for affordable rings and 925 sterling silver for fine jewelry grade rings :) aluminum is very malleable and isn’t sturdy enough
Make sure to pinch the crystal when wrapping around it :) it’s almost like making a net with the wire. That’s what allows it to stay in place. Hope this helps!

a good way to get the crystals with holes is to buy a beaded bracelet and use the beads from it

how do you wrap it around so easily

if you were to shower with it on will it start to change? or turn your finger green? also if you use gold wire does the gold lose its color?
It depends on what type of wire you use! Gold tone and silver plated will, sterling silver and pure gold won’t.

It’s called a ring mandrel! You can get it on amazon for around $10-20 :)

You can buy half hard wire in either size :) it’s a little bit harder to wrap but much more sturdy. I also prefer 22 over 24 for rings
20 gauge is best
i have 24 gauge 0.5 mm wire. can i still make a ring with that

how can you do it with beads that have no holes on them?
exactly

I wanted to know if anyone at all has worn a ring like this. Does it feel uncomfortable? And if so do you want it a thicker wire or thinner
I’d say wire rings are more comfortable than the traditional bands because of how thin it is. But the down side is that it can’t be tossed around as it can break easier than regular metal bands.
Hey does the wire rust, if used under water?
It will rust since it’s metal but if you get sterling silver, tarnish should be able to be cleaned off :)

Me 😂
Hahah🤣
5:05 I´m having troubles with that part. A tiny piece of wire still shows and I don´t know how to make it flat
Try cutting the wire so that it rests on the outside, just in the middle of the band. Then it’s easier to press it down! Hope this helps :)
