Great video. I have been on the hunt for a new spotting scope & was questioning this exact comparison & you guys just answered all my questions. Thanks again, Happy hunting & God Bless 🤙🏼
Nice! I'm in the market for a spotter right now and this is exactly what I was wondering. Do you think you would still choose the 65 over the 85 with the diamondback series scopes? I don't have 4 figures to spend on hunting gear at the moment ;)
Was looking for this. Exactly this. The right amount of talk and explanation.. footage of both scopes so we can compare… this is just perfect. Thank you so much. Gotta get mine this Monday. Btw, it’s just me, or the 85 shows better colors?
I am close to pulling the trigger on a Vortex scope and this helped. I didn't notice any chromatic aberration in either scope in your side by side comparison. What have you experienced in your use as far as aberration goes? Thanks!
That's what I'm talking about, great examples on the photos/ video to see what you can view at the distance. Whats the brand and model of the phone attachment, pleas and thank you! Awesome video and thanks for sharing!
I have 65, easier to carry where I go. At 300 yards I can count pine needles on trees. Good enough for me. I don’t need any more than that. My regret is I didn’t get angled body.
fellows great review and comparison, I just got a Athlon 65 but I am using it for night sky viewing and I need to be able to carry it on my bicycle when I am bicycle touring down in South America next year. I almost got the Vortex but I got a really great deal on the Athlon so I went with it. I appreciate the review . Cheers and thank you.
Want to sell the 85mm to a broke emt like me please. Lol. I'm rocking the basic 400 vortex scope. It's nice, but I have seen through the better and bigger ones and it truly doesn't compare.

I’m running the 65mm. Works good so far for everything I use it for here in Idaho.
Amen brother! We love it too man.

I still have my Vortex 11-33x50 Razor HD. No complaints perfect for the backcountry hunts for me
its a solid scope!
Looking at my first spotting scope right now. This review was super helpful. Likely to get the 65 now.
Glad we could help!

It becomes apparent at bigger magnifications and in certain lighting but hasn’t been a huge issue

Thanks so much appreciate that! That was with an iPhone 13 Pro
Just picked up an 85mm and love it. Game changer for sure but it is a tank.
Glad you like it!
Is the 65mm good for truck hunting?
How far away was that tree when you did a side by side comparison?
We put it in the video I think, but if I remember right it was like 1100 yards ? I’ll have to rewatch it
Great comparison video - Thanks! I just picked up the 65 and love it so far.
Thanks so much man! Appreciate it a ton! Thanks for watching!
thanks guys I was struggling with those two powers for up to 1k yds. now I know :)
7 minutes... Would have liked to see more comparisons, but it's better than most reviewers are doing...
What would you like to see ? Happy to do another one with more info.
@PNWild Lowlight shots to show how much the 85 outperforms. Great video btw! Next level.
Big bucks for great quality 👍
🔥🔥🔥

Go with the 65mm. I been running the vortex diamondback had 16x48x65 spotting scope it’s awesome. Best spotting scope for the price.
is it any good for long range target shooting at 1000 yards?
@@toma4270 Yes is great out to 1000 yards. Starts to get grainy around 1500 yards
What would you speculate is coming?
Can’t say! But it’s exciting!
@@PNWild when are you going to be able to say?
@@PNWild Any update?
