Many thanks, Pail. Every time I get stressed out and disgusted with what's going on in our country politically, I watch you and your colleagues. Your calm, confident competence - pretty spectacular, really - provides reassurance that, in spite of everything else, those of us who are the beneficiaries of your service are in good hands. Thank you.
Dear Pail: I found your channel a week 9:57 watched all of your videos. I have six sons, the five are all career enlisted men, three soldiers, one sailor, one marine, and my youngest son, eho is 34 years old is at home with me. I am a registered nurse and am on disability due to leukemia. My ex husband is a Vietnam veteran who has bladder cancer. We are divorced, but on friendly terms, he helps our son, Eddie and me alot. My sailor, Brendan, is on an Ohio class boat missile technician. He is 37 years old. So you are dear to me; I tried to enter the navy, as my brothers were navy, early 60's were navy, but I had a heart condition, so I was refused, but always wished that I could have joined after high school. I learned your name when your Dad was flying with you. I so love the voice overs, it makes everything come to life. Ihave so much respect for you guys and ladies. I love the videos , my brothers were on the Intrepid. I live in Cleveland Ohio, on the shores of Lake Erie, a five minutes away from my house. Boy, how I wish that you could have come to Cleveland on Labor day, at our air show. We had the Blue Angels this year. I was afraid that you were not posting cause most of your videos were from a year ago...so happy to see this recent one! I will be waiting for the next awesome video. My Brendan is in Bremerton, Washington state. Pail, thank you for your service....so glad you haven't retired and are able to continue to bring us this glimpse of Navy life! Fly Navy! 💙
@jasonrichards5854Thank you for your kind remark, it means alot...my three brothers, father, grandfather and three uncles were all military, and I felt like I was letting my male family members down, like I was a quitter. Now I know, couldn't help the heart condition...it was the way my heart functions. But I have had a great career as an R.N., and that means alot. Oh, and my aunt was a WAC...more family pride!
Wow!!! Lethal11 is incredible! What a skilled aviator!! Do you aspire to be as awesome as him? Would you consider doing a GrowlerJams biopic on him? We need more!
Former AT2 ('86-'92) here. You guys did a fantastic job for the commissioning. Still amazed we are commissioning more LCS while we are already decommissioning them after only a dozen years. Fair Winds and Following Seas shipmates on the USS Kingsville. Praying you remain safe as you continue the watch.
I was there for the commissioning of my brother's ship, the USS Cape St. George, CG-71, in Norfolk, in '93. It was berthed right next to the G Dub. Seeing a ship commissioning is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in my life. When the sailors all double timed it to stand on the deck(including my brother, who was a Lt. at that time), I cried, I was so proud. My brother took us on a special tour of the ship after the ceremony, and we got to see a lot of things most civvies wouldn't. My brother got permission to show my dad the Chief's Mess, because my dad was a retired Chief. They usually don't let officers or enlisted in there. Even though I thought it was a great big ship, the Washington dwarfed it! I understood at that moment why they called the carriers were called "cities at sea." I felt like an ant next to it! I was just up in Norfolk over the summer(my brother still gets privileges). The G Dub wasn't in port, but the Eisenhower was! I got some really amazing shots of it! I've not seen anything since that compares to the commissioning of the Cape St. George. Biggest highlight of my life. It's not bad, being a Navy Junior.
My cousin’s call sign was Crisco always thought it was because he was so slick on his traps! Nope.. he’s 6’4”, could barely fit into the cockpit, the joke from his crew chief caught on and it was said the he needed 4 cans of Crisco to be able to squeeze into the cockpit!!😂😂😂
Oh man, you are next level PAIL.! F1 race car on the taxi😅😂😆. Almost coughed up a lung.😂 Thanks for the ride-along man. Thats special right there.! Cheerz.

I'm always impressed by your skills: my runways were always long, never pitched or rolled, and if things got bad there was usually another nearby. So thanks for taking us along for the great rides; thanks for your service; thanks for being a mere mortal and getting tense occasionally. Side note: half the airplanes I flew were originally built for the Navy/Marines so, for more than a year, I was able to experience very short landing rolls. Blue side up!
Once again, I'm watching (listening) your jams for ASMR. Your voice is so calm and smooth. Your narrating radiates patience, and at the same time, it's fully packed with your agile sense of humor, which makes me laugh and even giggle over and over again.🤗 The result is I feel more calm,my body is relaxed, but you keep my thoughts in your narrating instead of them start wondering in here and there. During Vintage jam, I started packing my stuff to sell my home. I had to hold that project for reasons. Now I'm starting to continue that again. Several things have changed since Vintage jam. Many are gone, some are new and more new to come. There's quite turbulence in my life right now. It's awesome to watch/listen to your jams. Listening helps me focus. I enjoy listening to your jams and packing is happening sort of itself and quite easily. More 🍻 waiting for you. TY, love your jams. 💙🩵🤍
I dont usually comment on videos but wanted to let you know i really enjoyed the video as always! Recently discovered your channel a couple months ago and I really appreciate how you don't use too many complex aviation or military terms so your videoes are easier to understand. And when you do, it really helps when you explain them in simpler terms. I'll be hopefully joining the RAF next year (lol not the navy sorry) but I still find your videos super inspiring as an aspiring pilot! Keep up the good work :)

Thank you USN and America!
Nice Work and looking just as you should! I am honored you made mention of the "Lone Chinook" seeing how that was my ride and charge back in the day. The last time I was in Corpus Christi, was in a Chinook, I was out on the flight line watching mag checks being done on the last operational flights of the T-28. An awesome aircraft that my father worked on as an ADR, a little further back in time. I was just a Navy Brat back then, Whiting Field NAS. Thanks for the ride along!
Man I would love to serve on that LCS if I were a young man again. How cool was the manning of the ship and the flyover??? So proud of our sailors and marines.
I miss my days as a T-45 instructor pilot with TW2 out of NAS Kingsville. I was part of a diamond formation for the airshow out of Kingsville in 2012. Did a few fly-by's for games as well. Great times!
I just love and respect our men and women in our Military, I have for 70 of my 75 years and always will. I love your vids, Growler Jams! I miss seeing military aircraft flying over Austin. They closed Bergstrom AFB in the mid-90's. My dad's military career brought us to Bergstrom and Austin back in '73. My dad, like you, was fighter pilot. He was Rambler 04 on "Operation Bolo" during the Viet Nam War and he was credited with two Mig kills. He served in SEA with the 8th TFW out of the RTAFB in Ubon, Thailand. He was a Major then and a flight commander. Thank you for your exemplary service, your cool vids and insight, and for taking us along for the ride!
Just found this video and wow! First off, excellent job for all in the formation. Secondly, having been born in Kingsville Texas, and just now learning of this ship, I will definitely have to keep track of her. You have no idea how much I appreciate you showcasing this event. Cheers! P.S. It's nice to see Corpus Christi get a new harbor bridge. Going to miss the old one. But the memories of driving across it with my parents or grandparents will remain.
“ pilot pants” Great video.Thank you so much! So glad we got to see the face that goes with that voice.❤ Stay safe. Fly Navy. My pilot that was killed in 1990 would have been 74 yesterday. (Earth years I call it) I told a friend he’s up there flying his Skyhawk, flirting with all the girl angels making me jealous. I watched you a lot yesterday. Totally helped me get through what day it was. Take it easy up there, OK?
Your channel is certainly a favorite of mine. I live two miles from NAS Whidbey Island. I have an unobstructed view of most of you folks coming and going on the airfield. I'll occasionally go down to the OLF with a sandwich and a cold Coke Zero and watch the action from the side of the road. The sights and sounds are great. I was a four-and-one-half-year MM2 on a 600lb destroyer in the 60's. We did plane guard among other activities in Vietnam. We watched F-4's and various other equipment come and go. Absolutely exciting. That activity got me cranked up to become a pilot- I did. I flew around the US ferrying AC and also flew a lot in fifteen years living in Alaska (no big deal). I genuinely enjoy your videos and continue my flying vicariously through you and a couple of other UA-camrs. Thanks for what you do and how you present it to your audience. And Pail, that is a big deal!
It's remarkable how well everything came together. I was over there a few days before, got some great photos of the ship and some landscapes surrounding the city. It was bright and sunny, with a layer of cumulus which always provides a great background, little to no haze which helps provide clarity and contrast. The fact that it happened in between two hurricanes and the fact that the ideal weather maintained itself for the entire week is also interesting. It's almost like the ship really did have an aura. Also got to photograph my first Apache, even though it was super cropped in.
Love your channel, sir! My dad was a 21 year Navy P-2/P-3 driver with a C-130 gig in Antartica as well. Some of my best memories were at Pt Mugu watching VX-4 test the Tomcat. Lucky to have been a Navy brat!

Thanks for the straight up, diamond petfect commissioning. Easy day. I get a lump in my throat and my heart goes fast when you guys "do that pilot s". Prayers and thoughts go to you...
My fiancé is currently on deployment on the USS Kingsville. His twin brother (former US Navy, Aviation mechanists' mate) and I got to go to the commissioning ceremony. We heard y'all flying over, but three quarters of the people there were inside, so we didn't get to see it. This is such an amazing perspective. Thank you for posting!
You always see flyovers, and you always get the glossed over, "How it's put together," but THIS is from a master instructor. THIS is the actual "How-to," manual. If someone wants professional instruction on the aerial nuts and bolts of how to do this thing, then here it is. FLY NAVY!!
I subscribe to a few airline, and flight ops channels, but yours is my favorite. No rock music blasting in ears. Just a soft, very pleasant voice, telling me what's happening, without getting so technical, that it all goes over my head. Thanks so much for doing these videos, love them! ❤
From a fellow naval aviator, very well done. Good discipline, headwork, and airwork. You and your shipmates' professionalism made the ceremony all that more special.
This is one of your best jams! Awesome view behind the scenes. The moment of diamond formation is simply outstanding. Thanks for showing us your great work and your skills. Fly Navy! 🇺🇸
Thank you for letting the world see your expertise and the city of Kingsville, TX. My dad was part of the organization that re-activated NAS Kingsville in 1950. I went to kindergarten that year in Kingsville, and while I never saw an aerial view of the city, I can tell you Kingsville looks a lot different from what I can recall. The biggest thing there at that time was the King Ranch. Thanks again.
As a former Navy musician with timing the fly overs with the National Anthem or Anchors Away with the controller on the ground, I know it is a delicate balancing act on everyone's part to get it right.
Pail, I can't thank you enough for taking time out of your busy day to prepare and post these videos. Your videos are nothing short of fantastic. Always educational, entertaining, and a tribute to the skill and dedication of those serving our great nation. Fly Navy!
Nice job Growler Jams! From a Phantom/ Tomcat/ Hornet/ Intruder/ Prowler/ Growler/ Mercury/ Goshawk/ Texan 2 Rigger, currently at VT-10. Keep them Pilots safe and we'll keep sending NFO's to the fleet! #Zapper, #Shadowhawk, #Wildcat
Thank you for the work up and ride along at this flyover! A lot goes into getting it just right. You raise the appreciation level for what you do for all of us! Thank you and fly Navy!
Love this tight formation T-45 Goshawks !!! Beautiful and well executed Growler Jams and let the flight of 4 know that I would love to seen this from the ground.
Really Great Jam!! 🔥💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 Full of many bigger and smaller details, which make this jam so interesting. A huge thank you Pail, for the jam and for all the details you've used&done in it! Love to watch and listen to this jam! ✈️⚓️💖💖💖
Some nice shots above my old stomping grounds. During my junior high years, I lived on NAS Corpus Christi, where my stepmother was stationed as an AM(H)-2, and my Marine Corps veteran Dad worked on the T-34 & -44s as an avionics technician for Beechcraft Aerospace(BASI).
I'm very glad you guys are doing these awesome flights, and you're also doing these great and interesting jams of them. For sure, you've earned every cent of your pension; Freedom isn't free.💪🏼❤️
Pail, USS Kingsville was built in my hometown, and I use to see the USS Lexington many times when passing through Pensacola. What a front row seat you provided here. Thank you sir.
As a former Corpus Christi controller, thanks for the aerial view of my former home town!
That’s awesome.

Great as always Pail!
Absolutely love your videos 😊. Learning how to land on CVN-71 with my F/A-18C in the DCS simulation game 🎮. Teaching me a lot 🫡🫡🫡. GO NAVY!
You always see flyovers, and you always get the glossed over, "How it's put together," but THIS is from a master instructor. THIS is the actual "How-to," manual. If someone wants professional instruction on the aerial nuts and bolts of how to do this thing, then here it is.
FLY NAVY!!
SO cool! I love how the ground controller helps you guys get into the right formation.
Outstanding airmanship and professionalism! Thank you for sharing!
Very informative / interesting and yes entertaining. You guys looked great. Thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I subscribe to a few airline, and flight ops channels, but yours is my favorite.
No rock music blasting in ears.
Just a soft, very pleasant voice, telling me what's happening, without getting so technical, that it all goes over my head.
Thanks so much for doing these videos, love them! ❤
Cheers!
The skill and view here are both stunning.
Seven generations of shame, no pressure 😀👍Great video!
From a fellow naval aviator, very well done. Good discipline, headwork, and airwork. You and your shipmates' professionalism made the ceremony all that more special.
Very nice! 🤙✈✈✈✈
Thank you for sharing this!
Cheers!
Congratulations to all the new Plank Owners, GO NAVY 🇺🇸
Growler Jams never disappoints. Thank you for all the vicarious thrills and interesting insights. God bless.
Man this stuff is insane. This type of coordination has to be on the top end of human performance
Ty Sir for share as always, we salute you from Zaragoza Air Base 🫡 Spain 🇪🇦
As a former Navy musician with timing the fly overs with the National Anthem or Anchors Away with the controller on the ground, I know it is a delicate balancing act on everyone's part to get it right.
Pail, I can't thank you enough for taking time out of your busy day to prepare and post these videos. Your videos are nothing short of fantastic. Always educational, entertaining, and a tribute to the skill and dedication of those serving our great nation.

I was a carrier sailor from Corpus, and I really enjoyed this one- THANKS!
