My golden retriever was a wonderful walking companion. Would walk at heel by my side. When I stopped she knew to stop. Sometimes I would back up a few steps and she would know she was supposed to still be at my left heel. She would back up to get in her place. She died 23 years ago but the memory is making me smile.
Now do videos for those of us who have serious walking disabilities and can't walk like you demonstrate. We use canes, walkers, chairs, limp in pain trying to walk our dogs.
I wish it could correctly carry out what you do so well when dealing with problematic dogs... what you do for dogs and they're owners and is just amaze za zing. Thank you for what you got a chance to show us publicly, it's a shame that the industry does what they do to amazingly talented people for they're benefit
Same my dogs were strays that kept getting returned and my older dog was about to be sent to a kill shelter since they considered him aggressive. In reality he just needed a calm decisive leader where he can feel safe, live within the guidelines given, and be loved. He was just so anxious and unsure. Now he is a calm happy dog who knows I will protect him and do what's best for him. We go to festivals, breweries, and parks and he is calm and confident and we just enjoy our time together.
Been a Dobie owner for years. Always kept them at my side and i considered it a mission, not a sniffing the ground, pulling, or marking walk. People were amazed that a 5'2, 120 pound girl could control 2 dobies that combined outweighed me by about 80 pounds.
so you denied him all natural needs a dog has? you are crazy. like cesar is. dogs can heel of course and all my dogs learned it. but for them this is just a thing to follow me from one place to another. but it is not the thing they need for their wellbeing. this is like someone leads you blindfolded from a to b. you have some exercise and get tired out but it is not fullfilling and even stressing you out.
@ChiefHerzensCoach No, there were times I'd let them go ahead and check things out. As soon as they started to pull and act like they were in charge, I'd bring them back by my side. If you know anything about dobermans, they are smart and strong. They looked to me for commands. I never abused my dogs. They loved going for walks and runs. Runs, they would be on a leash, but run in front of me. And they would get free runs occasionally. Hard to do when you have people in the neighborhood with loose dogs. Everything I did with my dogs was for everyone's benefit, especially my dogs.
@ChiefHerzensCoach No, not necessarily. 1st, I had 2 dobermans that outweighed me. Most of our walks consisted of each of them by my side. I would occasionally let them walk in front of me, but if they started to pull, I'd bring them back to my side. We would run, and if we're running they were always in front of me. They are working dogs and our walks and runs were what I considered their jobs. You do realize that sniffing around in people's yards can be dangerous. A lot of people treat their yards with different "poisons" for weed and pest control. Not to mention people that don't clean up after their dogs on their walks, especially nowadays with the dog sicknesses that are contagious. I don't want my dogs exposed to things that can make them sick. Not to mention dobermans can be more susceptible to certain things. Loose dogs happen frequently in the neighborhood. If my dogs are next to me I have better control over what can be a chaotic situation. They have a big backyard to explore in and mark and do dog things. Walking/running my dogs at least 4 miles everyday and never having my dogs be the problem says I'm doing something right.
@@tammylarimer-xw3pdI have owned working dogs all my life. I walk them on leash and without pulling (but not allways heeling, only when there is a lot of people or some danger like poison) to the bus or whatever and we drive somewhere to the forrests or open fields. then they walk free. mostly on the way but from time to time also in the field or forrest (i know where not so much game is). they are trained to stop even when they occasionally start hunting. but at least 5 times a week they have at least 2 hrs in nature of leash. they obey on distance (which also is trained) - so if a bike comes i let them sit and stay so the bike can pass). if there is a familly with kids, i would call them to my side etc. we also do some work like searching and some agility-like things that improve teamwork (i call it forrest-agility - balance on fallen trees, jump over them or crawl under them etc - they like it and earn some reward like play, tug of war, run for a ball, sometimes treats). we also swim etc. this is what a dog needs. working dog means they have traits we can use for our work - i did protection work and SAR and therapy work - very different things. and a few more as hobbies. the work is still not what keeps the dog in ballance - if they have only controlled walks and work, they are stressed out, they are not mentally and physically healthy, die years earlier than necessary. a dog is not an asset. it is a feeling being with needs of their kind and breed that are different from ours.
Cesar I really have come to appreciate your intuitiveness regarding dogs on all levels. This is just one of the many examples that you have shown what a pak leader does. 👏👏👏to own a dog means To fully committ to its development and happiness.
Caesar, thank you for your videos. I have about 5000 hours of experience running Hi energy daycare. I have been doing it for 5 years basically, nine to ten hours a day... Anyways, my point is your videos. Help me move forward and achieve more with a better understanding of the dogs around me. And it allows me to prove to my bosses that they should invest into us. And I can't thank you enough... I listened to your videos all morning. Because I had to do a training session. And I was super nervous, and I actually came back to things you said and it worked out wonderfully thank you.
I have never seen a dog trainer as good as this man is. I wish he lived in U.S so he could come train my two puppies. I hired the trainer they charge me fortune and they are not coming again. He only came one time and he said you must take care of them both myself. Honestly I did hire them to do the job for me since I unable because of my severe health issues. Plus puppies don’t listen to me. I wish he wa in U.S that he could train my puppies for me . I really like his work . God bless you and give him more strength to be there for dogs. He is amazing. 🙏❤️
I had an alfa Malamute, who always walked behind me on narrow paths, so we never had any problems meeting people, wild animals or other dogs. However, I see most of the dogs owners who are behind their dogs on narrow paths, and disobeye them whatever they say, shout, etc. You always have to be the master of your dog and situations!
I hate that my hero had to settle out of court due to junior biting a gymnast and she couldn’t compete and that his dog killed queen latifahs dog he lost his show Bec his techniques were outdated - he taught me so much!!! One of the greatest dog trainers fearless and understands them so well
Hola! Cesar Gracias!
I have watched Cesar for years and years and years, I still watch them today on UA-cam. The one thing that I don’t understand is when is the right time to walk your dogs where they need to pee and poop kind of a slow walk and they get to do what they need to do to get their job done.
I like the bird is along for the walk. 😂❤
The Bird is trained too!
Idk how but I didn’t see it till half way through the video 🤣🤣
Cause you're regarded @@jaytrane8884
I choose to be the parrot!
I train and still; show my dog my box turtle. He saw it snap and crawl around.I think he would eat it and defeat it; as for that snapping.
The bird is the real boss. Walking the dog while sitting down.
I was gny comment "the parrot is the boss",then I saw your comment.😂
😅
Cesar is walking the dogs..the bird is walking cesar

@emiliana1767 you're welcome random citizen! 🫡
Haha! Love this!
Macaw not parrot 🦜 😏😏
This man is one of my heros because of wha he has lived through and continues to thrive.
I adore him for teaching us how to train our dogs. ❤
An extraordinary man. A gift to the world. And to dogs, and dogs’ companions.

Can't beat Ceasar. All based on your energy as a pack leader. Love to see him going back to his roots.
He has such a calming influence on the dogs and parrot, too. ❤
Amen, I walk my 3 Aussies at the same time and they stay right beside me. ❤❤❤ love your training method. ❤❤❤
Thank you Cesar, my kids and I are huge fans and have learned so much from you over the past 15+ years.
Exercise, discipline and affection 👍🏻

Great leader. Gorgeous pups❤

Walking with 4 big dogs is a great way to make sure you never get attacked.
