      It’s just funny as hell cuz like bro these people wouldn’t be playing with him taking an “earful” about how to play defense if they didn’t wanna be there. This next gen of humanity is doomed with the cancel culture and being to big of a bitch for no reason. Well no actually the reason is cuz they don’t get EXACLTY what they want when they want it. Sense of entitlement needs to change. But regardless. Great video. Keep it up. Sometimes people need that “drill sergeant” vibe to get back in check 🤷🏻‍♂️

    I disagree. Constantly playing for rotations would only be successful against poor to average point guards. Should only be enforced if your lockdown isn't a great one. I play inside big & lock sometimes so I'm always either helping on screens or directly on ball defense.
    You've got to trust your lock to get you a stop. You help on the screens & call rotational defensive plays when the 2 players directly on ball/screener can't contain the offense as they're out of position.
    This is because you need a couple possessions to figure out a good point guard.
    A good point guard would figure out you're not fully dependent on the lockdown and are playing for the rotations. A good point guard would also see your rotations. You'd get dotted to oblivion depending fully on rotations & not your lock. My opinion.

      In theory I agree as a lock on a team in pro am it relies a lot on team defense yes most times steals are broken but good pgs are gonna protect it from you getting the stop vs reacting to a rotation of a team running it the correct way. Gotta trust your team defensively as a unit to get a stop vs one man fighting screens

    • @PostControlla
      @PostControlla 5 місяців тому +1

      @@Gweilo91 I agree with you to an extent. Defense is team effort, yes. However, it isn't 1 man fighting screens. There's help defense on the side. A heavy clip by the screen results in the screen help switching fully on ball defense.
      I have no issues with rotations. We call rotations all the time but as I mentioned, that's when both lock & screen help are out of position.
      Example is a center that can't shoot. He'd be looking for the roll. Your screen help most times would be protecting the 3pt shot and would be out of position. In this situation we swing the PF to the paint, hash to the corner and so on, to contain the roll.
      My issue isn't with rotations. My issue is setting up your defense for rotations. Asking your lock to play to a certain angle rather letting play defense to his full capabilities. He has extremely high perimeter defense, steal, speed/accel, lat quickness for a reason. Crab crab crab all game if that's against a good PG that sees where the lock's default defensive stance is, rather than playing solid on-ball defense.

    Long awaited, if you’re playing for stacks every time and have AK playing two then wouldn’t a point guard look to attack his sides then eventually he’ll call wraps to dot depending on where AK is? And you said you would switch Joey to the wing if AK starts getting exposed but then they could attack him in the post, I guess that just really depends on who you’re going against then

  • @ItsNoRandom
    @ItsNoRandom 9 місяців тому +7

    I get what you saying with the rotation part and maybe I'm thinking of this in a realistic stand point from playing college ball.
    But if you giving him middle that give him options to pass to everyone. If you force to a side that shrinks the court you could just ice him keep him there. The big has a longer distance to roll corner pinch if he try to drive.
    Realistic that how basketball would work but I forget it's a video game

    • @LakerFan
      @LakerFan  9 місяців тому +3

      Either way can work, if you have a versatile enough combo on your wings, I don’t see why forcing middle will be an issue

    • @LakerFan
      @LakerFan  9 місяців тому

      Plays into the rotate as well. In this 3-2 zone style

    • @ItsNoRandom
      @ItsNoRandom 9 місяців тому +1

      @@LakerFan yeah in y'all case y'all would have to play that way based on personal. I was just saying sending him middle gives left and right driving angles instead of one driving angle the purpose of the 3-2 is to prevent up 3s which you know that.
      I'm just thinking of this too realistic. Baseline being an extra defender etc etc

    You dont owe anyone any apologies. You’re an inside big/ hybrid lock. Thats the basketball equivalent of an offensive lineman. Meaning you sacrifice all the hype and glory and rah rah for the overall team success. If anyone can bitch at guys to tighten up its the guy whos in the trenches. 🫡

    This game is awful. Notice how few points were scored on actual offense. This happens all the time. All Lakers time did was play good defense and score in transition so the other team never had a chance. Next game could easily be flipped backwards. The idea that there is a competitive mode in this game is laughable. I've seen pro am 5v5 games combined scores under 60. Just shambles.

    • @DrESeawins
      @DrESeawins Місяць тому

      Defense should win respectfully. Same could be said on offense. If the game starts and both teams play perfect defense the 1st team defending deserves the win. If the game was reversed and offense was broken, we would see shoot outs where the team who got ball first wins. That’s the problem with madden right now

    Systematic play styles only work on sum teams . Players who let the game come to them will just make the defense rotate bc y’all following a specific plan
