That is a lot of work you have put in there , sounds nice though 👍
Well, probably a bit more work than replacing the whole exhaust but £150 instead £500 was quite worth it. And to be honest there's no good sounding and looking aftermarket exhaust at the moment available to buy. There's always something wrong...
Sounds great
Indeed it does 🍺
Nice sound on the modification. I have a 2019 cafe and there seems like there's zero aftermarket out there right now.
yes, there are no aftermarket parts at all. but it's a nice bike anyway
Omega do a good set albeit expensive.
Now your neighbors will be very happy😂😂
sounds good old.
Very nice sound . I'm about to do the same on my W650, I keep putting it off ,( I didn't want to cut the standard system..) but you cant find anything down here (NZ) under $1500 . Headers should only be $150-max , but apparently not . I thought you would strangle-them with all the mods you added , yet they sounded nice and full . It shows how completely 'throttled' the factory mufflers are . Dave NZ
True, but you should still go for new headers. Check my other video on that
Superb . I want to do exactly what you've done to my W800 including the installation of the DB Killers. Where can I get the Tulip pipes /db killers and how do I modify it into tricking the balance pipe is still working?
I really recommend you to install EJK controller. It comes with o2 sensor bypass and it adds more fuel needed for more free breathing exhaust. But you can also buy a cheap o2 bypass from ebay and then you're free to get rid of the balance pipe. DB killers came from ebay but those longer pipes I prepared myself from a piece of mild steel pipe. Tulip mufflers again from ebay.
The sound is way nicer, but I have to admit I am a big fan of the design of the original exhaust. Weird that there are not a lot aftermarket exhaust systems out there, as the sound of the original exhaust system is by far the biggest complaint point for this bike.
yes, the look of the original exhaust is almost perfect... but not the sound. I think this exhaust is a pretty good for both the look and sound - but not the price :)

That is one sweeeet sounding W800 - great job !
Question : I might have missed this information in the video but, what did you do regarding the catalytic converter in the original mufflers ? I thought that is where the cat is based.
I prefer that sound ;) ua-cam.com/video/R3zYW_7wa7E/v-deo.html
Sounds fantastic. My problem, I purchased my '19 W800 Café in Oregon with the two (2) hideous o2-sensors at the headers. I'm wonder how to delete those two sensors without creating a problem..? The OEM tires (dangerous on rain grooves) and exhaust are absolute junk.
You can easily use of sensor eliminators and custom pipes. I like stock tires, don't think they are any dangerous really
Крутой звук👍
Я тоже так думаю ;)
Have you found any long term effects of removing the cross balance pipe and o2 sensor? If no would you recommend cutting it out completely and going straight into a custom exhaust? Also would you have a link for the o2 trick piece. Thanks in advance
I did 10k miles without sensor with no issues whatsoever. My FI light is always on though but it's because of other mods I did. And this year I'm replacing stock welded pipes with high flow stainless. Talking about o2 - just look on ebay for "w800 lambda eliminator" - around £12 it should be. It's just a piece of resistor really . Cheers
Uncle Longbeard awesome, cheers for the info. Ill get on it
Uncle long beard have you got the new headers yet? Very surprised to see how it appears that the factory pipes have small sleved interior diameter exhaust, strange
I really love what you have done, But I got only question sir!! Where did you put the O2 sensor thing??
I removed it. I got ejk controller and O2 sensor bypass. I also removed cold engine rev adjuster, second throttle butterflies and disconnected second throttle position sensor which effected in much more lively engine and better throttle response
Thank u
Uncle Longbeard dat really nice sound
Hey great work, would you do this on other peoples bike? If so how much and how would I get in touch?
I think there's too much hassle with it. Cutting, welding, preparing baffles and at the end of the day the result is not perfect as the pipes are still small diameter and the mufflers are rusting a bit. It would cost you around £300 in total including labour and materials so I would rather go for that: japan.webike.net/products/21125941.html
It makes sense only if you can do it by yourself - then you will spend around £150 on everything. Cheers.
Hello! Very nice exhaust and effective db killer! I want the same, do you have a link for the good diameter rear "quiet baffles" ? And other video maybe?... 😋 Many thanks! 🇨🇵
I haven't found any "ready to use" quiet baffles which would give satisfactory results. Even with what I've done it's quite loud when revved up. Luckily reasonably quiet when idle. I mentioned the dimensions at 5:30 ish. Cheers
@@UncleLongbeard OK thanks! I've don't understand before your explanations because I'm french and my English level is.... Not the best lol. I go to listen at 5.30. Last question, do you have lost power with the db killer? Many thanks
@@Overdoz59 Probably no or the difference is not recognizable. Haven't check on dyno though
@@UncleLongbeard OK great! Many thanks for your help! I go to make the same with same exhaust for my Harley! 😉✌️

LOL
any decrease in performance with the balance pipe removed?
No difference whatsoever and a bit of increase on free flow mufflers. But the biggest increase was on big diameter headers. Check out my later exhaust video
@@UncleLongbeard Do you have the link of that specific video? Anyway, great channel, good work! Subbed
@@romainwilmet4534 search for 'w800 reverse cone'
@@UncleLongbeard Thanks, very interesting. But still, does the larger diameter pipes compensate for the lack of a balanced pipe?
I love the sound of dual but would never choose it over low / mid range torque.
@@romainwilmet4534 i never felt any downsides of removing the balance pipe so don't know what do you want to compensate for
Those mufflers are called ' cocktail shakers '
both names are in use, depends where you are.
Chrisakes. I am all for a society friendly exhaust note, me.
Edit, there is a reason it has to be a certain level of quiet to pass the Mot, it is so that is does not piss everyone the f@#k off. Sounds freaking awful now with the burbling farting godamn racket. I have been liking your stuff so far but this can give motorcycling a bad name.
I can say three things here. It wasn't obnoxiously loud in the first place so I doubt anyone would be pissed, really... Secondly I replaced it already with something with a bit softer and bassy sound - much more pleasant IMO. And the last thing is that I don't like quiet bikes... as much as I don't like really loud ones, so my goal is always something which sounds about right... And I guess I got it now.
@@UncleLongbeard Well thank gawd it has been replaced already.
Part of the louder sound is a safety thing too. With the original exhaust system it is a little too quiet. When you come down the road and it’s loud, people are going to know you are there and be more aware of spacing.
It’s not always about being super loud. It’s about sounding good and being safe
