  • Humpback Whales Bubble Net Feeding, Resurrection Bay, Seward, Alaska. Binoculars amzn.to/2j9LPYy Mother/daughter trip Whale Watching in Seward, Alaska and cruise to the Kenai Fjords National Park, we were lucky enough to see humpback whales. Right off the shore from Seward, a mother and baby humpback whale were in Resurrection Bay, Alaska feeding and swimming. Humpback whales swim in a circle under water and release a net of bubbles to catch tiny krill and fish. They open their big mouths as they rise to the surface of the ocean and fill up with fish. Humpback whales have baleen filters in their mouths that hold the fish and strain the water out. So fun to watch the bubble net feeding. Seagulls see them underwater, and circle as the whales send up the bubble net. The birds swoop down to grab a few of the fish for themselves.
