This is the video that got me subbed. I live in the EU and have amazing access to most Scotch Single malts... but an american friend once talked about Kirkland scotch and it sounded hilarious to me. I wish we had a Huge Supermarket type chain bottle their own like this. Never had it but as was said, pop these babies in a decanter and hand it out to the scotch plebians in your life!

I’ve had a few of these, and I remember the 22 Year being fantastic after it had a few months to open up. 🥃 I wish a had purchased a backup bottle.
I've had the 22yr, 23yr and 24yr. My favorite was the 23yr, then the 24yr and 22yr were pretty close. Definitley great value for money!

Hey guys, enjoying your drink through. I’m at Costco guy. I bought the 19 last year didn’t mind it but it tasted very metallic.
I wish i could find the Kirkland Islay again. Got one bottle and they haven’t had it again. I thought it was great for the money.
Kirkland Islay is always worth having on hand even though I love the higher end Islay single malts. I'd love to try this Kirkland Brand just to see what it's like for myself. In Canada many Costco stores don't have alcohol, not in BC anyway. Annoying. Great video!
The 24 is my favorite. I still got 2 bottles. They're $68 when they came out

I've yet to have a Kirkland single malt that was terrible. It's good stuff, especially for the price.

No Islay in there? Sleeping. Really can't go wrong with any independent bottling of an age stated Islay Single Malt. They are all pretty good - mainly because there are only so many Islay distilleries.
That's one reason I actually enjoy the Total Wine brand Scarabus. It's nothing fancy but it's decent for $35-40. I'd take it Scarabus 10 over Laphroaig 10.

None of them sound like a buy to me.. Think about what else you can get for $50. Highland Park 12, Bunnahabhain 12, Craigellachie 13, Redbreast 12, and plenty more.

Yeah, these bottles are all now over $60. Not sure there is a quality single malt scotch under $50 any more.
When you guys keep saying you taste the grain what do you mean? Aren't these all single malts? When you say grain do you mean something else that tastes like grain since there is no grain in these?
Barley is a grain - you can get an undercooked grainy note from barley distillate.
@@CuriosityPublic Thanks for the clarification. I've tasted a grainy note in blended Scotch and single grains but never in single malts. I will have to look out for it. Love the Drinkthroughs. I often go back and look at the old ones when I am trying to decide on which bottle in a range to buy.
