Swallow the Sun, the purest expression of my own self and being - and now I'm endlessly happy to see that you're also falling in love with the masters of Northern melancholy, my friend!🖤❄️🥀 As their new album "SHINING" is coming out this Friday (October 18th), how about reacting to one of the new singles such as "MelancHoly" or "What I Have Become"? I do think their new masterpiece also deserves exposure, because it opens up a new and more hopeful chapter for the band after years of shattering grief being set to music in the most beautiful way imaginable!🙏🩸 "The Fight of Your Life" is of course an uncontested masterpiece of Gothic Doom Metal, and the album "Moonflowers" is not only one of my favourite albums of all time but also an eternal milestone of an entire genre. If one knows the background story of Juha and Aleah, there's no limit to the weight and the meaning of the lyrics. Swallow the Sun are so much more than just music - a spiritual experience, a worldview of sorrow and contemplation, and last but not least artistic perfection. There's not a single verse or melody by StS I can't find myself in, hence it's no surprise that I am obsessed with them in a way I don't even want to start to describe because it would make you worry about my addiction! ;) Deeply hope this magical StS journey continues on the channel!🖤✨️🌙
One of the best reactions to a song I've seen. I appreciate the sincerity. The last few lines of this song are incredible. It comes in with the growls and then ... "Here I stand on a mountain, my wings nailed to Earth All kingdoms meant to fall! My body in your ashes, I dive into the cold Forevermore! To heal myself in you" Damn.
This was amazing. Great vocals and I loved the slow burn acoustic sound that got kicked up a notch in the chorus. Great stuff. Really good lyrics as well. 10 out of 10.
When a group of guys you've never met create art that can make you feel like this, when it's painful and yet you thank them for it - then you know you've found a gem of a band. I value music that is intense and makes me feel my emotions intensely, be it doom metal or Shostakovich, maybe I am just addicted to feeling this kind of pain or maybe I need it, I don't know. I could recommend particular stuff, but honestly, listen to any Swallow the Sun song you can get your hands on. Their new album drops this Friday, I have been loving the singles they've released so far and can't wait to hear the whole thing.
Yes a reaction from Moonflowers! I also must mention a thoughtful and candid one at that. I have been consumed by the music of Swallow the Sun since their inception. As time passes, Moonflowers is becoming my favorite chapter in their absorbing discography. Thank you again!🕊
So many songs that I want to recommend by this band, Don’t fall sleep, lights on the lake, stone wings. I’m glad you’re finally going to enjoy the emotional relief of Swallow The Sun
Swallow the Sun is a treasure, and this album is such a masterpiece overflowing with unfiltered and genuine emotion. It's extremely personal to its writer and you can feel it in every note. I'd recommend the opening track "Moonflowers Bloom In Misery" , it sets the tone for it perfectly.
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody For me, one track gave me feelings and got me into an atmosphere I’ve never experienced before lyrically and musically, it’s Plague of Butterflies, a 35 minutes track. But first you gotta absorb the band’s tone a bit more to dive into that masterpiece.
This whole album is just incredible.
started listening to it today!

@@TheWolffAndTheMelody Moonflowers Bloom in Misery and This house has no name . Worth the price of admission alone! Carry On.....
Moonflowers is one of my top 3 favourite records from Swallow The Sun. Most of their discography is great, so choosing a top 3 is a difficult task.
Happy to have this album on vinyl with an orchestral version included. "All Hallows' Grieve" is my fav from the album.
I can't wait to get to that song.
Moonflower album is absolutely brilliant mate :) The special blue edition comes with an orchestral version too on vinyl

Más de Swallow the sun, más draconian, también anathema, katatonia, lacrimas profundere por favor
This was awesome. Got serious chills when those growls came in but the whole song was damn beautiful.
You gotta hear the whole album!
You need to react more Swallow the Sun! Don't fall Asleep, Swallow, Psychopath Lair, Woven into Sorrow. Great reaction man!
I plan to! I'm really enjoying this journey!
